Correct, but they will if its in your cart.

If you already ordered, you should be able to cancel and reorder it. I did that with the Firefly set before it was released when they dropped the price.

You don't have to cancel your existing order. They will honor all orders at the lower price. Got an email from them today confirming this.

If its selling well, then they can drop the price and make up the difference on volume. If Serenity weren't selling well, they'd keep it at list price.

Hope yr right, Ursula. I wonder if they were counting on the thousands of cancelled orders/re-orders though; that might lose them a couple bucks. If one browncoat knows, it's not long until we ALL do. . .I'd jump on this before Amazon decides it needs to change the price again.

I believe it means the DVD is probably sell very well.
Our pre-orders, determine how many DVD's Amazon orders. The more they order, the bigger the discount, they get from the manufacturer. Part or all of which they pass on to the customer in the hope of increasing sales.

Well as of right now (10:00 AM, CST, 11/18) Serenity is the 15th best selling DVD on all of Amazon, and the Firefly set is at #16. That's darned good, peeps! I suspect that volume of pre-orders has resulted in the price drop -- no doubt encouraging people to may order sooner or one more copy than they might otherwise have done!
