THEWANDERINGBARD

Ahh, it's been a while since one of these was found.

http://cheer.thewotch.com/

It's a spin off comic of www.thewotch.com, both very funny and well written, and each has there fair share of little hints of Firefly/Serenity. Hope you enjoy.

Browncoats: "May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one."

BLACKOUTNIGHTS

Interesting, but without a specific reference or attribution it looks to me more like they've ripped off dialog.

CYBERSNARK

Kid's playing with dinosaurs and quoting Wash. I'd call that a clea enough reference. Doesn't need to be a hit-you-over-the-head "A" plot.

BLACKOUTNIGHTS

Nevertheless, someone who is unfamiliar with Firefly would be led to assume the writer of the toon came up with that dialog on their own, unless they're psychic.

HYDRAGON

Ah, the Wotch. Awesome comic, and Cheer! is just as awesome (Yes, it's spelled with a "!"). Both have plenty of Buffy/Angel/Firefly references. Part of the Basic Plot of the Wotch is similar to the Slayer thing. Good to know there are some Wotchers here on Fireflyfans.

Someone ought to mention that comic on www.whedonesque.com. I'd do it, but I'm not a member, and new members can't join at the moment.

P.S. Here's another (Slightly more obscure) reference in the actual Wotch comic (It's near the end): http://www.thewotch.com/?epDate=2005-10-19
