WhooHoo

Went and saw Serenity in the theater yesterday!! 1:30 Matinee in the SF Bay Area with more than 25 people in the audience. My wife and I drove more than 300 miles round trip to see Serenity.

I learned about Firefly on a gun forum some months ago and put it on my Netflix queue. In mid September I moved Firefly up to the top of queue, but because of the demand the first two DVDs did not arrive until last Friday.

My wife and I FELL IN LOVE with Firefly!

I went online and made some purchases and searched out where the closest theater was still showing Serenity. The closest theater was more than 150 miles away (164 or some such thing) so I went on Fandango and purchased our tickets! Our own set of Firefly DVDs have been purchased and are in the mail to us along with the soundtrack, the graphic novels and the novelization of Serenity. When we got home last night the 2nd two disks of the Firefly series was in our mailbox so we watched two more episodes!!

I am elated and devastated at the same time. How can something this good be dead!

It ain't.
That's why we're all here.
And why the DVD sales of the movie will bring us another...

Internet Movie Database IMDB.com (full link to Serenity below) - put in the movie - then you can follow a link to where it is showing.

Very true. I think our struggle to keep this running is like Mal's struggle to keep Serenity in the air. It's gruelling, but our love of it will keep it flyin'.

It's still playing at the $1 movie theater in my town. I'll probably go and see it this weekend.

Did you get both the soundtrack from Serenity and the soundtrack from Firefly?

Serenity the Official Visual Companion is cool.

I also reading Finding Serenity (Anti-herors, Lost Shepherds and Space Hookers in Joss Whedon's Firefly) edited by Jane Espenson. It is a collection of essays about Firefly. Almost done. Sigh!

Serenity DVDs, VHSs, UMDs for Christmas!
