Unless I'm mistaken it looks like the SciFi Channel will be putting Firefly into their daily rotation at 8:00 AM starting January 6th.

I found this by going to the schedule area on their website and searching for Firefly.

WOW! A lot more viewers will now get the chance to see this wonderful show!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Agreed. 8 a.m. is not the greatest time slot out there. Hopefully interested people will either tape it or Tivo it so they can watch it at a more reasonable hour.

It's making me wonder... with Firefly getting so much exposure on SciFi Channel, it won't be long before the newer fans start wondering why they're seeing the same eps over and over.

Can we anticipate that the network will soon be flooded with letters and emails asking when the hell they're gonna make some new Firefly episodes? Not to mention, threatening dire consequences if they aren't forthcoming RIGHT NOW?

Short of that, there'll probably be some extra boost for BDM movie sales. That is, of course, if there's a sizable contingent watching Firefly in its new timeslot...

I've been wondering the same, cos Sci-Fi is playing the series to death. And lots of people I have talked to who found it on Sci-fi were all like, 'where's the second season?' to which I had to tell them, yeah there isn't one. Then they got all cry-y and I told them to keep watching cos the better the ratings on sci-fi the better chance this ship could get back in the air. I also pushed the film. The ratings FF was getting on Sci-fi were generally better than most of the shows they rerun, and it was generally 3rd or 4th for their Friday night spot (I think we got it up to 3rd the first night of airing cos we all watched it). I would love to see this show come back to Sci-Fi, I think it's the only place we have a shot at. And while 8am isn't the best spot, you are getting a lot of people who watch it before they go to work. hell i used to get up at 9am to watch Dawson's Creek reruns, so I am sure there are people out there who will do the same for FF.

i agree sci-fi is our best bet to get the show back, as 'versal owns this channel, it's not so much of a stretch!

Well, I found out being in the daytime rotation means they will air a bunch of the episodes that day and then not at all the rest of the month, not even of Friday nights any more.
