Since many of us have bought multiple copies to either loan out or give out as gifts, I was curious to see how many of you out there have done so.

Personally, I've bought 3 total. The first one I bought, I lent to a co-worker who still has it. I bought another one and then loaned that out recently to a friend who still has it. My third copy has just recently (today) been loaned to another friend/co-worker.

Now I'm debating whether or not if I should buy 3 copies of the BDM to watch and loan out too!

2 - the R1 box then the R2 box. R2 is for loaning, R1 is for sitting on the shelf looking pretty ;)

Just the one so far. Though in the process of converting all my friends, one disk got scratched, and now I can't watch the first 3 minutes of "Shindig", so I may have to re-up.

Now would be the time, since FOX just dropped the price on the DVD set to 29.99 for X-Mas.

DELTAFOURTWO

Just bought my second one this past Saturday (11/26/05) for the purposes of converting new fans (Matter of fact I loaned it, still in the plastic, to the young lady I had taken out on a date on said Saturday).

Can't bring myself to loan out my original set 'cause each of the four DVD inserts has been signed by Firefly cast members (Thanks to two years worth of Dragon*Con. :)

Disc 1 insert signed by Nathan Fillion and Jewel Staite. Disc 2 by Ron Glass. Disc 3 by Adam Baldwin. Disc 4 by Jewel Staite and Morena Baccarin.

Just one that I got off ebay this past week. I didn't even know about the show though until Serenity was in theaters. :(

12 total.

One for me, 9 given as Christmas/B-day presents, 2 to overseas military units.

I'm also going to get a copy of Serenity to go along with each of those sets. Makes Christmas shopping a lot easier this year.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Eight.

Two for me, one to keep, one to loan.
Gave one to my son, my first convert.
Three to friends.
One donated to local library.
One given as birthday present to local dee-jay (who still hasn't watched it, gorramit!)

3 sets so far. My first one, which I shared with my Mom, then gave to her when she fell in love with Firefly. Another set for me, because I can't be without my Firefly.

Then another set sent to my daughter in Cali because she caught the show on SciFi, fell in love, and when we talked about it, I couldn't resist sending her the set so she could enjoy them as they need to be seen.(letterbox! no commercials!)

I'm going to buy my brother a set for Christmas... he will love it too, he just doesn't know it yet.

At least 4 people on my Christmas list are getting "Serenity" and I'm getting a copy and my Mom is getting a copy.

I know, I'm a nut, but I eventually will buy myself a copy of Firefly just to put away and have. If my current copy gets damaged, I'll probably replace it too. Mind you... I've not been able to do any of this all in a short period of time. I've got a budget and it'll take a couple of months to finish after Christmas.

But it's worth it, for making folks happy and for contributing to our chances to get a sequel.

Ooh, library. Good idea. Just think, somebody walks in, starts browsing titles, finds Firefly, thinks "Hrm, what's this? Well, it's only a buck to check out, so what the heck?" And then, BAM! New browncoat! Genius. :)

As far as all this brainstorming on how to convert folk to Firefly/Serenity, I think donating copies to the library is a nifty idea.

Three, so far. One to watch, the second just in case anything happens to the first (I'm a belt and suspenders sort of girl!) and the third as part of my campaign to convert my niece and her husband into browncoats for Christmas. You know, come to think of it......

I don't care if it gets crowded in my sky--as long as the crowd wears brown.
