I don't normally watch this series (about a mathematical prodigy working with the FBI to track down criminals). Last night, however, I was surfing by and noticed that the actress who plays River's teacher in Serenity was in a featured role.

Her name is Tamara Taylor, by the way. Very pretty woman. She played the director of a community center in a minority/ethnic neighborhood.

I notice that she has also appeared on "Lost", "CSI:Miami", and numerous other shows dating back to a 1991 role on "A Different World" (the Cosby Show spinoff).

I don't disagree on any particular point.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

She played Walt's mother in several flashbacks on Lost.

And of course you do realize who else is on Numb3rs? None other than Mr. Universe.

Well, I sort of assumed that anyone who followed the show would already know that.

I wonder if David had any influence in getting Tamara her role in that episode? Of course, it's possible they never even met on the Serenity set, since they're not in any scenes together.

oh I thought she looked really familiar,
thank you for pointing this out!

I love seeing actors from the Whedonverses in other projects, but it is funny how sometimes I can't quite remember....
