I am a recent Browncoat as some of you know. i was recruited by the sci fi marathons and came aboard just in time to get excited about the movie.
I have heard a lot of "let it goes" going around. Be satisfied with the movie and move on.
If they listened to you then.
If they listened to you then, There wouldn't have been reruns.
If they listened to you then, there wouldn't have been a feature film.
If they listened to you then, there would never have been a big damn Flanvention.
If they listened to you then, so much would have been lost.

Star wars ended. Firefly gave this me something to obsess over. i put down my lightsaber and put on a brown coat.

Don't let anything take the sky from you. Even if there is never another tv show or movie, we have a community.

Wash: Yeah, but psychic? That sounds like science fiction.
Zoë: You live on a spaceship, dear.
Wash: So?

Don't worry. Some of these people are most likely the same people that told us to let go back when Firefly was originally cancelled in 2002. You can be sure that most of the older Browncoats are still fighting and haven't laid down arms or will ever do so. We do appreciate the reinforcements.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with Star Wars. At least, Star Wars up until about 1997. After that, whoah. I have NEVER seen a franchise take such a remarkable header directly into the toilet. Heck, even Star Trek had to go through the entirety of Voyager and Enterprise to really stink up the place.

Thank goodness for some quality sci-fi in the 'verse, eh?

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal, Fox!

Actually, the Star Wars franchise is still quite good, in novel form. I'd gladly trade the entire Prequel trilogy for one new NJO-era book.

Same with Star Trek. Except for the glacial pace of new releases (where the ruttin' hell is "DS9: Warpath?"), I'm seeing some of the best Trek in years.

Personally, I didn't care much for the NJO. A bit too dark for my tastes. That, and the Yuuzhan Vong just didn't appeal to me as villains, and the amount of fluctuation in the tide of the war from novel to novel was staggering.

And Jacen Solo flat pi$$ed me off.

As for Star Trek, I have to agree. Particularly with regard to the New Frontier books.

Hmm, suddenly I'm getting a great picture of Mal and Mac getting together for drinks at the Captain's Table.

Yeah, i'm not seein that. I'm not a Joss Fan. I'm a Firefly fan. Never got into Buffy or the spin-off. They had their moments but i thought they were just kinda .. well, i'm not here to bash. Firefly was very special. I haven't watched much TV the last few years. That's why i never caught Firefly til it came to DVD. Been a fool for it ever since.

Some of us will hold forever, cuz it's what we are. Think of that Japanese soldier they found living in a cave on some remote jungle atoll back in the 70's. Nobody'd ever told him WWII was over.
