Ok... It has come to my attention that some of you would like to name my new ship...Im all for it.

Here are the rules(yes there are rules)

1.Nothin Nasty...come on do ya think I gonna sail around the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico with a nasty name on me boat?

2.The name "Serenity" is out due to respect...and yes I do have respect

3.No racist names please...I think that dont need no explination

4.Anything I deem inappropiate...This is the "Catch all Law"

5.Have fun...if you aint gonna have fun then dont play youll just make everyone wanna shoot ya

Now after an indeterminal amount of time I shall post the top names I have choosen and then YOU can VOTE on the one you like best...Please if your name does not make the list dont feel bad if you wanna vote then vote if ya wanna pout then...uummm....pout.

Im doing this because you people are the best. That and I think it would be cool.

I shall do my best to post a blog on the home page to let everyone know how it is proceeding from time to time. I wanna give all a chance to contribute.

Also I cannot tell you that only one vote perperson is required,But please do have some sense OK?

Well a quick disscription I think would be the order of the day...

She's a 100ft. 3in. long dry airconditioned cargo ship. Her displacement is around 110 tons. She reachs a top speed of 20Knots and turns in her length. Her draw is 12 feet to the rum line...oops...I mean water line. She's painted white with tericotta trim. She knew water in 1999 and survived the dreaded "Y2K bug" ... lol
Shes the 2nd most beautiful thing in my eyes.

Well there ya are mateys name her for me and if I can I'll post a PIC of your name scralled across her stern. The most important thing is to have fun.

"Kaylee" seems apt. Consider it a good luck omen, since our Kaylee could keep any boat safe and afloat. :)

"Kaywinnet Lee". "Kaywinnet" as sigested but if you want two names then "The Kaywinnet Lee" sounds very respectable.

Or if you are Stan Rogers Fan you could consider:

"Mary Ellen Carter"

Which is a great song because it talks about the ship that the hands would not let die.

They're some good names, here. I can really see "The Jaynestown" happening. :)

Now here's a bit of trivia for ya. :) Are you sure you mean "Mai Mai", and not "Mei-Mei" (= little sister)? Because the Mai Mai are quite a savage, murdering, rapin' Congo militia. It would probably be a good name on a Reaver ship, though, lol. But it's doesn't quite fit our darlin' "mei-mei" River, now does it? :) ... Or does it? Because "mai mai" translates to "powerful water" in Swahili. So it may refer to "River" after all. :)

SHINYTALENT

Ok I found a bunch of names- none are Firefly/Serenity related, but I still think they're good, because I believe a name is only important because of it's have meaning and these do:

Tully- Calmness
Yi Zi- Happy, shiny as a pearl
Sadah- Good Fortune
Lida- Beloved by all
Oki- Ocean-centered
Drea- Courageous
Evania- Tranquil
Ahava- cherished one

Ok, or all else failing what about Jaynestown? I don't know if anyone else suggested it, I haven't read all of the ideas
