I heard about that but missed it when it played. That truly is priceless. (Though I wonder how much they paid for it anyway.)

That was awesome. We taped the game so we could fast forward it and watch the commercials; haven't gotten around to it yet. The watching part.

For me, that was the best part of the Superbowl. Wasn't any too invested otherwise.

Rick seems to be enjoying his retirement, doesn't he?

That was awesome. Though it comfirms that I've lost the ability to see RDA as anyone but Jack O'Neill.

Which makes it even funnier, actually. . .

Oh same thing. I can't watch old MacGuyver episodes anymore without expecting Teal'c to show up. And Ben Browder + Claudia Black being on there now makes me all manner of confused. KF

The face he makes when the engine actually starts is HI-larious! But, yeah, RDA is no longer McGuyver...he's Col. O'Neill (that's with TWO "L"'s).

Did he just go crazy and fall asleep?

I might be the only one to disagree, but RDA will FOREVER be Mac to me. That was a staple of my childhood that I will never forget. Monday nights, eight oclock, channel ten....yep always Macgyver to me!

Oh no, I'm there with you. He'll always be MacGyver to me. Then again, I'm part of the generation who watched those episodes when the series was still in first-run. I drew a portrait of Rick as MacGyver back in the day, and I still have it on my wall.

It's kind of funny that they had to color Rick's hair for the commercial, though. In the interview, he even laments the lack of the mullet. I have to go back and pause the commercial again, though, and see what else he bought with all the stuff he used. I think I saw one of those rubber ball paddles on the check-out counter. MacG's pockets were always full of stuff.

I missed the trusty old Swiss Army knife, though. There's a version now that has a flash drive incorporated - I saw it in a recent issue of ZINK. Personally, I think if MacG was being made now, that's the model he would have.

Why do I call him Rick? Have I met him? Well, no, but I did meet Jay Acovone once, who place Kowalski in the first few episodes of Season 1 of SG1 and several of the flashback/cross dimension episodes. Jay called RDA Rick, and since Rick's a Minnesotan like me, I figure I'm allowed.

Back to reality-

Wicked vid Relfexive! Thanks

No Gypsylife, you're not the only one. I've accepted Rick as Jack, but he'll always be Mac to me. As has been said above, it's probably because I watched Mac when it first aired, growing up.

Don't think there's much that can win out over nostalgia
