*new* 'Versal swag at WonderCon!

Just in case you need another reason to come visit the Browncoat tables (F1-F2) at WonderCon this weekend:

Universal (oh, Universal - how do we love thee? let us count the ways...) has cleaned out their closets to send every last bit of Serenity swag to our table at WonderCon, so last call for Serenity goodies!!!

And on to the NEWness. Universal has put together for us a special promo DVD for Slither (horror flick starring Nathan Fillion, coming to theatres in March) including a trailer and a special behind the scenes feature, hosted by our very own Mr. Fillion! To the best of our knowledge, this dvd will *only* be available at WonderCon, so anyone going through cappy-withdrawal -- we've got a little something for you. ;)

Also, Universal is sending us some gummy slugs to promote the film. The mere thought of this is making my skin crawl. Please, please come to our table and take the slugs away before they invade my nightmares!!!! aaaaaAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Another new swag item we will have, in *very* limited quantity, is a promo catalogue from BenBella books. This booklet contains sample essays from all of their PopSmart series, including one each on Buffy, Angel & Firefly, not to mention Alias, Hitchikers and more. It's quite a fun read and gives you an idea of the books they sell.

In case I've been ambiguous, this stuff is FREE, folks. all you gots to do is show up. See you at WonderCon!

If you want you could edit your subject line and add *FREE* to it or include the dates

or even make it real long like

*new* 'Versal *FREE* SERENITY & SLITHER swag at WonderCon! Feb 10-12 inlcuding special promo DVD for Slither with feature hosted by Nathan

If you change your subject line, be sure make sure the change shows up on the home and general discussion page. If it doesn't, edit again and put a space at the end and update post. That usually works for me.

I got no problem with them giving you free swag for Wondercon...as long as they have finally mailed me the swag I earned from points at the Universal board. Been waiting months for that.

Hey what happened to all the stuff we been mailing out to the thousands of Serenity fans on the Old Universal board??? There was a giant pile that we were gradually working though and now it is all gone. Did someone outsource that project? If so, how come the list of fans is still here????

Some Browncoats are still getting stuff from the old Universal Board.

There is a thread "Gotten anything from Uni since the official board closed?" on

in which Browncoats have posted as late as 2/11/2006 that they just got some of their swag.
