Jewel Staite looks kind of silly trying to look like a sultry temptress type. She's so beautiful in the two pics toward the bottom with the little white camisole and a much more natural makeup job.

yeah, in a few of those pictures, whoever did her makeup put a little too much on the cheeks. She's still stunningly beautiful though.

As Simon says, she looks beautiful "especially when covered in engine grease." I'm not a big fan of the tons of makeup look, give me a girl that looks natural. She has such a beautiful face and the makeup just ends up hiding it. Although I guess you could say the same about engine grease. :p

Thick black eyeliner is certainly not a look that works for Jewel.

But in fairness she was in the thrall of Lord Glazmer (The evil glamour photo hypnotist) and could not be held responsible for her actions.

Agreed. Hiding those eyes behind the dark makeup... not the most brilliant idea in the 'verse. ;p If it ain't broke...

I agree, Jewel has a natural beauty that is done injustice when covered in a lot of makeup. And why are formal jackets seemingly always involved in these kind of shoots? I think it'd be great if she did a shoot in her overalls, you know, like in Objects in Space, where theyre halfway down and she has a cute little T on. Ah yes....I sense a viewing is in order......
