hi all,
have been posting on other people's threads, but have been too distracted by amazing fanfic and lovely posts to formally introduce myself!

have been reading newbie entries and reliving my own experiences (second wave browncoat: saw the series on netflix last winter, movie, discovered fanfic, discovered this forum, etc.) everytime i watch the series (and i was home sick recently so sat on the couch watching the whole thing again) i still experience the frustration and desperation i felt when i finished watching the series the first time and realized that that was it. thank god for this forum!

needless to say i'm an aspiring browncoat, and at my age i never thought i'd get so wrapped up in something like this. this is the first and only forum i'm a member of.

so, bearing strawberries in a small wooden box, i humbly ask for a browncoat and a seat not too far from the table (i know there are many more before me).

i was thinking in terms of recruitment. so far i've only gotten my husband and kids (although they are far too young to watch every thing they know all the characters) on board. i'm currently working on my co-workers.

i love how so many respond so quickly on these boards! everyone's so friendly!

Oh that's quite fine in terms of recruiting. I actually never did 'active' recruitment, but I helped one person get into the series (right after she discovered it, I lent then sold her my DVD set), and just got another person to finally call himself a browncoat. Stuff kind of just falls into place sometimes.
