Been looking at this site for some time and decided to take the next step.

I am a big fan BSG but Firefly blows it out of the water.

I watched Sernity, was hooked, bought the DVD's, can't stop watching them. Got my brother and parents hooked, they stole my DVD's from my house

, ordered movie and DVD again

I have never seen a show that has completly captured my imagination and attention like Firefly did and continues to do. Can't get it off the brain

I wish that the actors would go back and do more commentaries for both the DVD's and the Serenity. I would go out and buy them right now. In such a character driven show, it is hard not to become attached to not only the characters, but the actors as well.

I will never be able to get enough and in some ways, maybe thats what makes it such a powerful and unresolved passion.

So, hello all, I look forward to discussing the 'verse with all of you.

Hi. Welcome to the board. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine.

I suspect that if Fox and Universal choose to release their respective properties with additional commentaries that the cast would be amenable and I would welcome that as well. I would particularly like to see Adam, Summer, and Sean do comentary for Ariel and Our Mrs Reynolds with comentary by Christina and Ron.

yes, it's a tale of woe alright...once you watch the BDS you're hooked - and there just wasn't enough of the story to satisfy all of us Firefly junkies.
I know it sure happened to me....
Guess that's why we're here... If we can somehow convince the "Powers That Be" that there is a really, really, big fan base and a strong desire to have Firefly back, then someday we'll look back on this and smile, knowing that if you believe strongly enough about something, you can make a difference. Or as Captn. Mal would say..."we did the impossible, and that makes us mighty..."

Welcome - glad to have you!!

I'm sure you will soon realize that your story is very similar to most of us in one way or another.

After I watched all of the series (before the BDM) I would wake my husband up in the middle of the night saying "You know what I want to do". He would say "Yes dear, watch more Firefly". (Clearly that is why I love the man.)

I'm certain that my heart will be broken forever that the series was cancelled. (And I don't even LIKE TV.)

Yep welcome aboard you're amonge friends and 97% of us would buy the box set over for more commentary or two minutes of deleted scenes. It is an addiction it's starting to interfere with my social life (not that there was ever much of one) I can't have a conversation without quoating the show or movie or talking about the actors. But really I don't care it makes me happy.

Anyhow... where was I? Oh, yes, the actor's commentaries... I fully concur. Have been gripin' 'bout that for months now. I mean, "LOTR: Return of the King" had an actor's commentary with virtually all of the main actors. So if a low-budget, B-film like "LOTR" could do it, why can't a major production like "Serenity" do it? Huh? No, seriously, why not?
