Quote:Additional primetime offerings will include the space-operas Crusade (a Babylon 5 offshoot from Warner Bros) and Firefly, from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon. Re-licensed from Twentieth Century Fox, Firefly is also the forerunner to Whedon's 2005 movie Serenity.
Quote:"SCI FI's latest mix of acquisitions promises our viewers a steady stream of quality programming throughout the year," said Jon Farrar, Director of Programming at Sci Fi UK. "We have high hopes for the likes of Star Trek, Angel, and Firefly - shows that have a devoted and passionate following here in the UK."

Yeah, but still... you never know ;p At least it's a step in the right direction. (Look at Family Guy, which was also prematurely canned from Fox. DVD sales and the huge ratings it got from the repeats on Adult Swim brought that back to the small screen...) _______________________________________________ You can take my hope when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

But you have to remember, Family Guy is animated. Which makes it relatively cheap to produce, so yeah, bringing that back was no big deal. In fact, I believe that like The Simpsons and King of the Hill, Family Guy's animation is done overseas. In Korea. Which makes it really cheap. When you have to bring an actual live show back? Especially a sci-fi/action/frontier hybrid? With cast, crew, studio space, etc? You're talking millions and millions...and millions of dollars. Hey, I'd like to hope that Firefly is coming back too. But it ain't. Me? I'm keeping the candle lit for a Serenity sequel or a full trilogy. Even if it's a made for TV Sci-Fi Original. "Take me, sir. Take me hard." -- Zoe
