I'm wondering where the cheapest place you guys have found to buy Firefly online is (Canadian, please).

Amazon.ca has it for $45, but I swear I saw it somewhere else for $40.

Any suggestions?

RISKEVERYTHING

Barnes & Nobles has it for $35, Sam Goodys has it or $20 (only there are no Sam Goodys around me)

Dear Neighbor to the north,

I can go and buy a series at sam goody's for $20 bucks and ship it out to you when I get a check or money order or something like that. (reimbusment is the word I was looking for)

Well, I hunted around some and the best price I found was at http://entertainme.ca where it was $36, but when I did the search from the main page for 'Firefly' it bumped me over to entertainme.com instead of .ca so you may need to double check if that is the Canadian price or the US. The one you saw before may have been and early pre-order sale that has ended. Good Luck!

Also, anyone - During the search I found the DVD set list on one site, but it had a different picture for the cover. Does anyone know if that is a real alternate cover or if it's just something they made up for the site? Here's the link since I'm not sure how to post images: http://www.dvdboxoffice.com/ and search for Firefly.

That is the wrong cover pic for the box set at the dvdboxoffice.com site. I have seen a preview copy, which I think is the official cover anyway. Other posters and retailers have posted pix of the set and they're all consistent: Mal front and centre, with cast arrayed behind him, from hips up, Firefly title above their heads, and Serenity passing before a planet above the title.
Price is way over top at CDN$65. And at entertainme.com, it's $58.99. I doubt poster who started this thread (Mahdi) will find it much cheaper than Amazon.ca's $45-something. I've checked a lot of Cdn sites (I'm in Toronto). I ordered from Amazon and then will pick up a second copy at Best Buy/Future Shop -- trend seems to be these two match Amazon's price. Rogers mostly matches, too, on first few days of sale anyway.
But you can always wait and watch for surprise bargoon.

Xenarc: I searched that site, says it's $59
http://secure01.entertainme.com/servlet/ProductServlet?id=62137127

Tragicstory: Thanks for the offer, but after the exchange rate and shippign and handling, it porbably works out to the same thing

I'm doing some searching now for how to work out the best price.

Ok, after some searching, this is what I've found. Still can't find the site that had it for $40:(

Amazon.ca: $45.50. $5 if use of visa card, and free shipping + handling. Total: $40.50

Futureshop.ca has it for $58
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&dept=

HMV: $45.50

/ref=sr_1_2_1/701-8859708-6433118

But they're partnered with amazon.ca, so no real surprise.

Cdplus.com: $48.49. 15% discount with visa card, so $41.22. Shipping: $3 per DVD

Archambault.ca: $45.99. 10% with Visa, free s&H. Total: $41.40
http://www.archambault.ca/store/product.asp?sku=001466368&type=2

Playcentric.com: $54.47. 10% with Visa. Total: $49.03 + S&H

DVDboxoffice.com: $64.95. 15% with Visa. Total: $55.21 + S&H

TEELABROWN

Barnes and Noble, around $35. I've heard that Suncoast and Sam Goody have it around $20-$30. That's all.

That's American, though.
