So I bought some shiny autographed stuff on Ebay:

- UK Firefly box signed by Joss, Nathan and Summer

So now - of course a little late, as usual - I worry if those are authentic. I just sent a request for a Quick Opinion on the Serenity poster auction to PSA/DNA, a service to prove the authenticity of signed memorabilia ( http://www.psadna.com/), but would also like to ask if any of you have any insight on this matter.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'm no expert, and the last photo is not large enough to make out the autographs clearly, but as far as the first two are concerned, I think they are not genuine. That is based on comparisons of autographs that I have that I know are authentic.

I may be wrong though, so don't despair yet.

Well, the autographs on the box and small poster ARE kinda shaky, but on the other hand, it's not unlikely that the seller did indeed get those at a pre-screening.
Why can't people be ruttin' honest, ffs?

The auction just... disappeared. Wtf?
I contacted the seller about what's going on, because the auction has been deleted, I payed 2 weeks ago (still have the PayPal "receit"), but haven't received anything yet.
Pisses me off to no end.

I always make sure to get the name, address, and whatever other personal information I can of someone before I exchange money through a medium like the internet. If someone doesn't have to exist with the threat of losing their kneecaps, where's the incentive to not fuck up?

Call it a joke, but I'm dead serious. The only time I order things personally from people's personal sites or from ebay is if they have contact information and I can use it to find out where they live. After that, leave them subtle hints in email correspondence. Once they get the idea, it's pretty safe to make the transaction. Hasn't failed me yet.

The seller replied and (of course) assured me the autographs are authentic, and I kinda believe him.
But, well, I'll never KNOW, you know.
Maybe I'll give SimonWho's signed Firefly box a shot, I trust HIM.

They sent the poster on May 16th, by the way - my guess is it's stuck at customs. Groan.
