Futurama has been off the air for many years. Firefly still has a chance.

Holy moly! First, I get to see Serenity on the big screen again, then I see here that they're bringing Futurama back? What a fabulous night!

New eps in 2008, eh? That's plenty of time to upgrade my cable again.

This is one of the best bits of news I've heard all week. I've been working in Wadena all week (basically dropping off the face of the Earth) and when I found out about it, I was ecstatic. I thought the straight to DVD news was good enough, but brand new eps?

YA-HOOOO.

I kinda consider it a FIREFLY victory. There are so many parallels between the shows. I mean, if you look close enough, FIREFLY's basically a live action version of FUTURAMA.

"There's only one "Return" ok, and it ain't "of the King", it's "of the Jedi."

"Maybe we should start calling your friend 'Padme' because he loves 'Mannequin Skywalker' so much, Right? (imitating robot) Danger...danger...my name is Anakin...my shitty acting is ruining saga."

Excerpt of internet teaser for CLERKS 2.

Not just Jayne and Bender. Wash and Fry are basically identical twins, Zoe and Leela are also cut from the same cloth, Kaylee and Amy could be sisters, Mal and the Professor would be the resident cranky employers (I imagine Mal would envy the Professor's Angry Dome), Simon I think would identify more with Kiff them Dr. Zoidberg, Book and Hermes would be comparing notes, and River would just have a ball tormenting Cubert and Dwight.

And Zapp Branigan could possibly fit in with the Alliance as well. Fir about fifteen minutes before he crashes one of their bulk cruisers into a planet for no good reason.

Some one really needs to write a Furturama/FireFly cross-over.

FurturFly, FireRama...

The network that starts with an 'F' could really find marketing gold in a "Hat Trick" revival of THREE shows that start with an 'F.'

I'm new, this is my first post, I tried to post the other night and as I was typing I guess the board went down again. I saved my 'hi, I'm new' post but I'm at work. I will post it later. Just wanted to get my 'hat trick' thing in on this thread.

"Fox: The 'EFFIN' Best" (okay, I'm no marketing whiz)

Walk tall, or don't walk at all...

Since everyone knows that Futurama was the second best "Sci-Fi/Comedy show that was so good it was cancelled prematurely by the geniuses at Fox," it's no surprise that I am purely estatic.

Oh, and ReginaRoadie, the image of Mal in the Angry Dome made my day.

Celebrate Good Times, Indeed!

Makes me sad I don't have access to ANY broadcasted television.

Maybe in the near future, once I move...

And I might try tackling that crossover...

*comes in from out of nowhere*

Johnny Bravo too. You could put Johnny Bravo in the crossover. He makes everything better.

Johnny: Hoo! Hah! Huh! Ain't I pretty?
Jayne: [beats the pretty out of Johnny] Gorram piece of freak.
