May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Quote:Actually I disagree. I love both Star Wars and Firefly passionately. I think the reviewer is more likely not a fan of sci-fi at all. If you talk to most fans of SW (at least the ones I talk to), it's not just about the aliens and lasers but the mythical potryal of heroes and villains and redemption. Basically the same themes you find in Firefly. In fact, quite a few of my SW friends are HUGE Firefly fans as well. It's just a darn good story that makes you think and question your own notions and opinions.

Quote:Originally posted by BrownCoat1: I guess I can kind of see some rabid fans getting bent out of shape over Joss turning his creativity away from their favorite shows, but they are the minority. Personally I have been a fan of Buffy since it first aired, and hated to see it go. I have even started getting into Angel since it started running on TNT at night, but neither of these shows affected me the way Firefly has done. In all honesty, I have never even posted on a Buffy board, and rarely even look at one on the internet. Now if you consider I am here everyday, and really enjoy discussing Firefly, that should tell you how much this show means to me. "May have been the losing side.
