Goodmorning fellow browncoats,

Just a reminder. Firefly the series can be seen on the Si/Fi channel today. If you know of anyone that you feel would enjoy this kind of entertainment give them a call,e-mail, walk over next door and bring them cookies. Just try to get them to tune in. The Firefly casting net has been flung out. Now lets try to get as many new recruits as we can. I do belive many will really enjoy this show.

My thanks to the Si/Fi channel for airing our BDS.

*sigh*

I'm at work, so I can't watch. Does anyone know when it ends? Maybe I can catch a few episodes when I get home.

And if you cannot watch the show, then just leave the tv on scifi as you walk out the door. Boost the ratings by one when you do!

Is it weird and obsessive that I own the DVD set of FIrefly and the BDM and I still am watching the episodes on SciFi?

(Or am I to assume everyone here is in the same position?)

The Nielsen rating system guys came to my house the other day and installed some tracking device on my satellite box, so they could see what shows I am watching. I left the box on Sci Fi today while I was at work, so Firefly would at least get a rating from me! =D

I'm in the same position, there's just somethin' about it, whether it's the intro by Mal or Book, or the fact that there are commercials, it's just better

I don't know if anyone has thought of this but I I think we can create an account on Sci Fi's Website (the Firefly BBoard
http://mboard.scifi.com/postlist.php?Cat=0&Board=Firefly ) and say to them, "I think The current rating systems ignore me, so I'm loging in here to tell you that I am watching FireFly right now. I'm telling you this so you can count my voice as a fan of the show and posible make more or even a sequel to Serenity."
I think we should all create only one account they might have an IP tracker also they ask for you email address when you create the accout. They send a confomation Email too.
If we get all the Firefly fans to do this if we flood the Firefly Bboard on Scifi.com We could really send a message. I think this is a new way to get ratings for the show. If we get the other Firefly boards we could really make our voices heard. The post I created was called "I'm watching Firefly now" come by and check it out.

"We've done the imposible..."
Let's do it again

I wouldn't call it weird and obsessive, especially amongst us folks. Possibly if you were talking to a member of the alliance (by member of the alliance I mean any non-browncoat) it would be weird and obsessive. I don't have cable, but I do hope it gets alot of viewers.

Great input from everyone. Sorry for anyone at work that can't be home right now. If you're at work and can still catch the show, well thats fantastic.

I think most of us have the series and the BDM. What makes it fun having it air on tv is knowing that there tons of loyal fans right there with you. It's a group thing. On top of that, what about those browncoats that are seeing it for the very first time. They just didn't know they were a browncoat yet.

Anyway good to hear from everyone, Z

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Am I imagining that some scenes in "Out of Gas" seem to be sped up for this? The pacing doesn't seem right.
YAY! Ged is a Nielson guy! We need more Nielson Browcoats!
Also, it is very weird to watch it full-screen.
I like the intro I saw, though. Just because.
I wish I could stay up all day, but that would not be a good thing...

I am thankful I get to see the original opening narration that I missed it while on Fox. I agree that it's something to know your watching the exact same thing at the exact same time. (River just slashed Jayne) Needless to say, nothing is getting done today. I do have to work later on (About damn time I get to work) and I'll miss the first airing of the new stargate, but this makes up for it.

Ha, they edited out "crotch." Weird. Guess it's too early in the day for that.

I learned something new today!! I just finished the episode "Our Mrs. Reynold's" on the Sci-Fi channel, it was awesome! Anyways... After Jayne and Vera take out that big electronic net thing and Wash gets control of the Serenity again, Mal tells him "good job, Jerry Lee" or I thnk thats what he said. I had always wondered where some people got the name Jerry Lee from and I was especially confused when I read it in "Finding Serenity." It's awesome that everytime I watch this show I discover something new. Anyway, gotta get back, "Jaynestown" is starting!

Maybe it's Wash's full name? Hoban Jerry Lee Washburn? I know it wasn't on his grave but that may have been at his request.

*as Serenity sails through Reaver space*

Wash: "Honey, just in case I get impaled through the chest by a giant wooden spike, could you make sure to leave those annoying middle names off my tombstone?"
Zoe: "If you insist, dear."

Here's a question. Am I the only one that has to turn it WAY up to hear the series, and then back down when the commercials come on? I noticed the same thing with the DVD - The menu was loud enough, but the episodes were really quiet.

MICJWELCH I didn't notice any change in volume watching the show today. I do have to turn up the sound when I'm watching the series on the dvd player. But thats just the player I have.

OH MY A CHOSEN ONE. A REAL LIVE NIELSEN "SUBJECT", I am soooo glad you're one of us. Now everyone we just need to find all the "others" and convince them to see the light. Yay, at least we have one box on our side. So tell me Ged does your tv feel any different, do you feel a sense of "moral responsibility" when you turn on the tube. You are choosing what we all see after all.

Actually, he says 'Kaylee' there, but I agree that is probably where the Jerry Lee thing got started - it has been heard that way before.
