Bezoars are the gall-stone/hairball/gastric nasties found in the stomach of goats (even they can't digest everything). It would fit.

(They are a traditional antidote to poison though. Like toadstones.)

Ewwwww! *has icky mental image* That's a description that fits though.

Glad to see another Pratchett fan here. There's a few of them about the place, I've seen references in other threads. Someone even had a signature that was a quote from Night Watch, my very favourite Pratchett novel.

Oh, not only am I into Pratchett, I am attempting to write a crossover of the same for the summer challenge.

This wouldbe an excuse for the 'Fruity Oaty bar' defence.

Might ask you or Oddsbodkins to beta it, actually. I'm really nervous about trying to cross the two genres. It's all the fault of Tristan and EmmaRigby. (And the Fruity Oaty Bars.)

BTW, I love your banners. Just had to say.

Times were in weeks past no one would have gotten ambushed by a troll on this site! Not ever!

GorramMalContent, welcome home.. we really are a friendly place full of very nice people I hope you will continue to see. We seem to have a bad apple among the bunch determined to spread their discontent with their life throughout the site.
Please ignore them and join the rest of us in loving the 'verse.

This is usually a tight ship with all kinds of interesting folks to get to know and to talk about Firefly and joining the cause for more Firefly/Serenity. We're glad to have you aboard and hope you will not judge the rest of us by the one person.

New folks always get their very own browncoat.. can't have a new recruit without their gear.. so

*hands GorramMalContent a browncoat this fits to a T*

How did you get introduced to Firefly/Serenity? Please tell us, we love to hear all about it and share in the joy.

Also, please join us in the many things we're doing to try and bring Firefly/Serenity back and also to have fun. Have you checked to see if you have a local group of Browncoats to join?

Make yourself to home and we'll be nearby.

"You hold. Hold 'til I get back." Mal

Don't think I've ever heard of a more selfless Browncoat on first sign up day! You deserve a commendation! If we ever start handing out patches, you're gonna be the first one. Thank you very much, Kelkhil.

But.. we truly can't have you wandering the ship without your gear.... of course, just cuz you have a browncoat doesn't mean you have to wear it all the time.. I my ownself am lacking the garment today.. as it's 90 degrees here! But you must have one.. you're one of us now.

*hands Kelkhil a browncoat.. new and shiny from the storeroom*

If you decide to share again.. come get another one.. we're always ordering new, cuz we get new crew everyday. And that's a very shiny thing.

Did you already tell us how you came to love our shiny show? I'd love to read it if you'll point me there.

Thanks for the Uniform.

I did post my intro on one of the Introduce yourself threads but I cannot find it at the moment. It seems like every time I look for a thread I was following and it falls off the current list I cannot go to the Archived files. I catch a cannot display error.

So here goes again....

I saw my first Advertisement for Firefly during the last season of Buffy. I remember thinking to myself "a Sci-Fi Western? How weird." So I caught the first episode, mainly because I had grown to love Joss's work. I was hooked from the first minute!

I watched every episode. I was angry when it was taken out of rotation for baseball? I think. But it came back. I was not on the net much back then and did not realize that it had gotten pulled. Then as I watched (Hurley?) drift off into space and they had no "Next Time On Firefly" afterwards I thought it had got bumped again for another sports event. The next week it was not on and something else was. I was crushed because I knew what had happened.

I had pretty much supressed the memories of the show like a bad childhood when I saw a Preview of the BDM and the memories flooded back. I saw the BDM opening day, First showing and a few more times after. I got the BDM for X-mas and just recently bought the series. I have been watching all ever since.

I was looking around for more FF stuff when I located this site and read around for a few days. It was good to know that I was not alone and I haven't looked back since!

you Fox you to the Special Hell!

Too cute msg! Thanks for the smile.

Also, Congratulations! (The stork signifies you're expecting right? If not, many apoligies, and my mouth tastes of foot. ) At least it's a small offense to false-congratulate in the virtual world. Much worse when someone does it to you in person. "Nope not expecting just been hitting the ice cream pretty hard."

Thank you DeskTopHippie,FollowMal,&FutureMrsFillion for making a guy feel right at home.I will wear my Browncoat with pride.Good post Kelkhil,my story is very similar to yours.I was already a big Joss fan from the Buffy/Angel verse,I saw the ads for Firefly and thought 'looks like a great show'.
I watched The Train Job and was immediately hooked. The theme got inside my soul and took up residence and it wasn't long before the BDH's were family.I was furious beyond words when the show was cancelled. At the time I didn't even realize that the episodes were shown out of order.I thought that I had just missed some and that was why plotpoints seemed a bit mystifying at times.I truly was a 'Gorrammalcontent'for 3 years.I knew the box set was out there but did not have the means for a DVD.I was thrilled when I saw the ads for Serenity.Saw it,loved it,saw it again, and again and it refueled my devotion.I now own the episodes and have discovered this awesome 'verse.
Feels like comin' home!
Forgive the lengthy post but it feels good to find kindred souls after all these years.

Hi Gorrammalcontent. (cool name by the way) I missed the show when it originally aired as I didn't have tv at the time; but when I did finally see it I was immediately hooked as well. The first ep I saw when the Ballad of Serenity played I fell in love head over heels. It is so good to find kindred souls who understand our love for the verse.
