Sorry if this has already been posted, but I just ran across it and wanted everyone to get a look.

On the "Brilliant but Cancelled" site There is an interview with Sean Maher about the series Firefly. In the interview he talks about cancellation and the ad campaign for the series and how the series was received by FOX. He also says something interesting about a time limit for a sequel. I figure that this has something to do with the contracts signed by the actors. it is an interesting read for those who liked the series and the movie Serenity.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

We always joked about taking the show on the road, as a side show act - you know, “let’s get on a bus and drive cross country and re-enact firefly episodes on stage!

Younger people probably won't know what I'm talking about, but for me that puts an entirely different meaning to the question, "Are you on the bus?"

Great interview. Thanks for the link.

Oh, this was a nice refreshing interview. I haven't read anything from Sean Maher recently. Not even in the Firefly Visual Companion was there a recent interview (it was from the film press tour).

I'm definitely eager to see this new movie of his.

I think I read in another post here, in a quote from Morena Baccarin, where she said something to the effect that their contracts were running out. Does anyone know if that is what Sean Maher is refering to in the interview??

Read this interview today and I wanted to make sure that everybody got to read it. A very insightful interview that brings up some new points. Make sure and check it out!

It's likely. Both the actors and the franchise will be on time limited deals.

There is talk on many other fan sites about a sequel to the film. What do you know?
I’ve not heard either way, but they have until Sept 2007 to decide. But I haven’t heard either way. It’s one of those things. If there’s a sequel, you know, anything these people want to do, I’m there.

I don't know anything about the movie biz, but that does sound optimistic if they have a year to decide. We just have to continue to spread the word.
