A structural detail about Serenity 2 if it gets made - possible spoilers

At S3, Jewel was asked in a panel about the path the show/movie series would take and asked Sean if Joss had told him about his idea. He hadn't heard it. Jewel (wisely) kept very quiet about the details... however she did say that the movie would open with a "shocking" five minutes and then the rest would be a flashback showing how that point was reached. This opens up a huge number of questions (what shocking event could it be? Is it a cheat - i.e. something that won't actually happen as we thought it did? Will the flashbacks extend through to before the events of Serenity or even Firefly to allow us to see Wash and Book again?).

Sounds to me that Joss has a very definite idea in his head about what will happen in Serenity 2. Now if only someone would give him the damn money to make it happen.

Well, there was Joss' joke about killing Mal in the first five minutes (with Jayne standing over him, saying "That was an interestin' day"), but that was about Serenity.
