Thanks for all the shiny advice, guys. I want to keep going, but lately it's been hard. I've tried to lessen my load for this semester, and hopefully I'll be under less stress next semester.

Morning, Imponderable-ers!
I am home ill today, so I may be on and off at random.

Ah, swords...I am not a creature possessed of a great deal of grace (being a Caucasian male), but once I have a weapon in my hands, I become oddly graceful. There is nothing like competing with your fellow human in mock combat.

Magda, I would be more than happy to teach you! Do me a favor when you go target shooting...take a camera and let us see the pics, k? Women using weapons of any sort is a major love of mine.

Howdy, Penguin! Haven't had much chance to talk with you lately. Glad to see you! And thanks for that emotie...I do feel like that most mornings.

SpaceAnJL, I would love to face you one day...sword, dagger, boots, tankard, table...you name it!

Nico, my brother had the same eye-dominance problem. It took awhile for him to learn how to use his right eye to aim.

DeepGirl! Also have not had a chance to say hello to you lately. Sorry things are going poorly...we are here when you need us! :hugs:

Ok...let's see if I can keep coffee in my system today...

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers such things! Yay for virtual sisters!
And, um, that's all I have. It shouldn't be. My brain is fuzzy. Anyone know a cure for fuzzy brains?

If nothing else, the benefit of being right handed but left eye dominant means I can keep a ranged weapon in my left hand and a melee item in my right hand, so it gives a slight advantage when being piratical at a renfair (not that we have many round here).

Morning all:)
Hmm dancing ..yup but I can never get MisterG to learn so I never get to go dancing as I've no partner.

Sports- pretty good at rugby, but never had gym classes as my 4-5 hours of daily dance rehersal were deemed sufficient.

Fencing- I can fence, but haven't in a few years so I'd assume I am quite rusty ( no pun intended)

Cold still ongoing and I'd really like to be home in bed, but one of my students chose to commit assault in front of a police officer so I have meetings to arrange and files to deal with ...you'd think the little weasels could at least learn to do this without the police around..argh!!

I choose to rise instead of fall- U2

Hey Mavourneen! Haven't seen you around much! How you doing Sweetie?

Love you too Mei Mei

And thank you dear Penguin! it's always lovely to see you!

sports i've been mixed at, not so great at team sports, but pretty reasonable at others.

fencing i was good at, fencded for scotland before i, well, got lazy and unfit keep making attempts to get back into it, but, shift work make's it kinda impossible to do regularily anyway.

I'm good, Magda. , but been busy.

Yesterday was Columbus Day here in the States, and for some reason its become traditional to buy furniture on Columbus Day...and I work in a furniture store.

I have a negative sports ability. Can't hit a baseball to save my life, shoot a basket or even hoola hoop. The only thing I've ever been decent at was track and field ( in High School ) but that was many, many moons ago.

Mavoureen- I still can't quite see where the tie in comes...I landed and conquered all these indigenous peoples...so let's buy some furniture at a greatly reduced price... Nope still makes no sense.Though maybe it has something to do with moving and needing new things ...still weird

Morning all. Job has changed around some, so I have less posting/reading time.

Magda, I would love to teach you to ride. Being able to harness the power of a huge animal is an amazing feeling. So is galloping along with the wind in your hair, but since I always wear a helmet, I kind of miss out on that.

Sports. Ah, I LOVE sports. Except for basketball. Don't so much like that one. I was a P.E. major in college (pre-physical therapy)so while we had a lot of science (nutrition, physics, biomechanics, etc) we also had "activity" classes that were designed to teach us how to teach different sports/games. They were fun, but at 3 hours a week for 1 unit a quarter, you only picked the best ones. And avoided gymnastics b/c that prof was eeevil. (You were graded on what skills you could do. You HAD to be able to do a back handspring to get a B. Yeah, right).

Hey, me too. I was the only one in Archery to have to shoot with my left hand. I apparently don't use my right eye for much, except to keep the eye socket all open, I suppose. I also have no depth perception, but have learned to make up for it using other visual clues. I actually didn't know I didn't have dp until about a year ago when the eye doctor tested me. Well, I'll be. No wonder I have such a problem finding the distance my horse should leave the ground before a jump.

Odds, it's BYOA(alcohol). The stores supply all the tables tops for dancing, all the couches for smoochin' and all the mattresses for the really determined. ;) It's win-win, yes?

As for the oven bread, I have no recipe. My mom makes Poor Boys oven bread. It looks like a thick batter and comes out all fluffy and yummy. I'll experiment tonight and see what I get.
