Due to my travels it's been a while since I spent any time in the 'verse, so I just binge watched the box set...

Need more...

*sigh*

Isn't it something how all this time later, you can watch it and your heart just breaks when that last episode plays and you know there isn't more?

It's like missing someone you love when they're gone.

It always helps me to come here though. I hope you can find some solace here.

Zendove you are going to find folks here who think exactly like you do about this show. I've been here for a year and I still love this show and want it back just as strongly as I did the day I arrived.

We don't just like this show, or appreciate it or think it's cool.. we love this show.

We talk about this and a lot of other stuff everyday, most of us are here all the time, give or take a few hours to work and stuff, LOL.
So join in and have fun and maybe, just maybe some of your pain will ease.

Go to www.bigdamnthankyou.com and say thanks to 11th Hour!

Welcome home, zendove! You're #23489 to
sign up on our shiny crew. We're right
pleased to have you among us.

I've a box of berries here for you, and a
mug of Mudder's Milk. Follow me up to the
galley, where you can question the buffet.
There's fresh bao just about ready, Wife
Soup on the simmer, and, since it's Friday
most places, we have a biggish dish of the
Captain's Evil Repeating Bean Dip. You'll
want to use the reinforced chips for that.

Please do not step on ShipsCat or into her
dish.

Spread the Firefly love wherever you go.

I have never been one for being "out" as a fan, but after wathing Firefly I needed more, for the same reason you mention. this is why i came here and why I find it hard to stay away, mainly for fear of missing any news of a new series/film/event etc..

It's not a show, it's an obsession!!!

Yep. Same here. But the crew is for the most
part* all warm & shiny & helpful.

Visit often. Participate (we *need* captioners!). Celebrate. Get tips on where else
to watch our Big Damn Stars. And that sort of thing.

VERSEEXPLORER

The end always makes me sad, but Penguin is right. To take away the depression, I start watching it all over again. I try to get a friend to watch it with me, so it helps to spread the word.

Welcome, ZenDove and EvilBungle. Glad that you found your way to our part of the 'Verse. If you ever need anything, just get on the Cortex and send us a wave. There is always someone around.

I made a web site to introduce my friends to the 'Verse.

"No power in the 'verse can stop me!"

Hi {b]MrsSellars - it doesn't seem to matter how often I watch it or how recently I last did watch it - I still get that feeling... I want to cry, rage, rant, hug everyone involved in brining it to TV in the first place and eviscerate anyone who had anything to do with it's demise!

Then... as my Darling Penguin so eloquently said... I put the first disc in and start again...

And welcome if you're new... or welcome back I guess! and "A big Hi, Hello" to ZenDove & EvilBungle - we're here!! - we're your new family of Browncoat buddies and we all know your pain! Most folk s I talk with here have never got involved in a fandom before... Browncoats are just a special-shiny sort of folk... and you're one of us!

Hi VerseExplorer! - my Kaylee-clone says it so very well too I think!

Hi FloralBunny! - how's my Bun doing these days?

Thanks, Magdalena!

Been here a while, just don't get to post much. Profession keeps me on the road quite a bit and not always in a decent proximity to the cortex...

How can you be depressed after watching "Objects In Space"? It has such an upbeat ending. Mal welcomes River back aboard Serenity, looking so amazingly cute in her too-big spacesuit -- like a little kid in a snowsuit.

"You know, you ain't quite right."

"It's the popular theory."

River is finally part of the crew, and all's well in the 'verse.

And the final line... what could be more perfectly descriptive of us Browncoats? We may be stuck in limbo with little chance of a way out, but do we panic, or cry, or whine, or give up?

No way. We hold.

"Well... here I am!"

And it was nice to see her made up with Kaylee, after she freaked Kaylee out in War Stories with that blind shooting.

ZENDOVE

thank you so much to all of you for the warm welcome; especially to FollowMal for the virtual browncoat! wasn't really sure what to expect - "new to fandom" and all that. new to the world of online forums even, so even a little more out of my element. but this show has just taken up residence in my brain and ... well, don't need to explain, i'm sure. just thanks.

have a question though. what crappy timeslot did Fox stick the show into? i didn't discover it until after the movie was released and i can't figure out how i missed it.

and that's not nothing... still have that yearning for suspense, for not knowing what's going to happen next though.

btw, where did the "i can see you" clip of River come from? it doesn't look familiar.

That would be from the "River Tam Sessions"...A bit of viral marketing.

Fox stuck Firefly into the 8:00 Friday crappy time slot. Then they repeatedly preempted it for baseball playoffs and reruns of bad movies. While showing the episodes out of sequence. And not showing the pilot ep until the very end, after they'd already cancelled the series.
