How about "Shaun of the Dead?" Seems like there plenty of potential for human munching and music to match.

Has anyone here seen 'Once More with Feeling'? It's the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You'd have to have watched the show before since it's an episode, not a seperate thing. It follows on from the previous episode and sets up a lot of stuff for the future.

It's a riot though, very funny and quite sad in places too. The characters' bemused reactions when they keep bursting into song and dance routines for no reason always makes me giggle. And there are dancing demons!

Hello! how are you all?

First kiss: I was 13, a random guy at the kiddies night at my local night club thanks to peer pressure, which I wish I had never done. Same thing happened a year later, 'cept he was awful, it was like kissing a washing machine, and I broke it off after about 5 seconds! Nothing since. yet.....

Not really a fan of musicals, but I would probably say... The Mummy, that would be hilarious!

eek, I have a modular maths exam tomorrow, I guess I really should be revising!

Edit: wow, Tristan, go you, that sounds amazing! I really hope everything goes well for you!

Serenity: The Musical

Jayne bursts into song!

*to the tune of "I am the very model of a modern major general*

I am the very model of a modern minor criminal
I get involved in theft and bank heights all of which are filmable
I'm slightly scared of River when she's triggered by subliminal
Messages and wins some fights that should be quite unwinnable
She's scary and she's deadly and she's also totally insane
She doesn't like me very much and might just kill me with her brain
She grabbed me in a tender place once and caused me a lot of pain
And also I betrayed her once for personal financial gain!

*Mal, Kaylee, Zoe and Inara sing*

And also he betrayed her once for personal financial gain
And also he betrayed her once for personal financial gain
And also he betrayed her once for monatary cashy money gain!

*Jayne sings*

It's not as though the crew don't know the mercenary type I am
I'm in it for the money and the sleazy pleasure of the scam
My favourite toys are guns and weapons, anything that can go "Blam!"
And betrayal, after all, is how my Firefly career began
I turned my coat and jumped ship on the understanding there'd be pay
They didn't tell me that I couldn't get it in a certain way
But this crew is daft and never listens to a single word I say
This boat would be much better if they let me captain it my way!

*Mal, Kaylee, Zoe and Inara sing*

This boat would be much better if we let him captain it his way
This boat would be much better if we let him captain it his way
Serenity would rule the skies if we let Jayne captain it his own way!

The best part about last night, or any other night like it, is that nothing has to happen--nothing at all--to make it special. Live in these moments, my friend. enjoy them for what they are, not what anyone might want them to become. If the moment arrives, it will do so on its own, without anyone's bidding. Hmmm. I'm thinking maybe some Coffeehouse food followed by an hour or so of Cuban Dancing! Blank mind, silly grin, inabilily to articulate anything besides "More Coffee."; all very good signs.
But the sounds of thousands of female Browncoats sighing in sadness is fuzzing up the Signal. How will they get over this?

So, as for catching bricks...
Since I was nice enough to take her lunch I think it may become a regular thing. I'm takin' her some soup since she's workin' outside with horses today. This time she called and asked so I said Yes of course.

Good for you NVG. At least it is a step. I can understand not wanting to loose a good friend if something went wrong. So going slow is definatly a good plan. Of course it could always end up like one of Laurelin's BFs, well not really a BF. they were really close friends in college and they were both single so they figured they would try dating. Didn't really work out. They were too good of friends so it was really weird for them so they just went back to being friends. He is a good guy and a good friend of mine now too.

i've had one too many of those. But if that happens, I won't be too broken hearted, just a little lonlier. Besides, like I said. She is young and had a multitude of options. But I'm old enough now to realize that not striking at the right moment will result in failure.
I aim not to fail.

Okay JQ, I might seem all smooth and all, but this stuff never seemed to work when I was younger. Yes, I've always been warm and fuzzy, but have been abused and ignored too often to mention. I have had several apologies in the last several years by those that had a chance.

I guess I'm talkin' out my ass now. Time for lunch. Be back soon.

Hi guys-

There seems to be a negative amount of estrogen running through this thread today, so I thought I'd drop by.

Today has been a day from Satan's bum, but it is rapidly coming to an end. Whew.

I subscribe to the brick theory, for most ( but not all ) men. I'm not sure if it has something to do with how they view the woman in question... but I have run into more than my share of men who needed a brick upside the head.

NV, I hope things end up like you want them. (How's THAT for diplomatic?)
From your posts, I can't tell if you truly want to be with GND, or just want GND to remain a friend.
But bringing soup is wonderful, either way.
If GND pulls a red, rectangular object from her saddle bag...you now know what it is.

JQ: Shawn of the Dead was an awesome movie but the only way I could accept it as a musical is if they could get the original cast. It just wouldn't be the same without them especially Nick Frost.

Shocker.

Just teasing. Today was just very, very busy...which is a good thing. When things are slow, it means the store isn't doing any business. If the store isn't doing business, there isn't much need for business office types.

I see the wisdom there. Somethings fiddling with perfection just messes it up.
Favorite scene (although I saw it coming...to a point): at the End where we learn the fate of Ed (his name was Ed, wasn't it?)

DTH!

*snerk* That's incredibly funny! I have to bite my lips shut to keep from laughing out loud. (Which also explains why I have a really silly-looking grin on my face as I type this.)

(Although I can imagine Mal doing a double-take at the last chorus and saying "Hey! Well....You can't!") (Oh, and let me throw in a "You're EVIL for putting something so hi-larious for us to read early on a work day." )

NVG: I've joked about this before, with other friends, but maybe I need to create a Cloo(r)(tm)(c) ball for all those who need a gentle hint (sorta like a Koosh-type ball) tossed at them. She likes 'ya! ('Course, sometimes I think that a 2x4 is the only way to get anything through the clueless at times -- and that includes me. )

As for the hunting and gifting to the uncles Nice. Hope you had a good time visiting with them as you dropped off the quail and rabbit.

PR: Wha? *shakes head to re-read the statement* Okay, do I need to send some of Laurelin's bricks over to Austraila for you? *hugs PR*

Tristan: *green-eyed flash* *shakes head to clear the flash* Okay, for those of us without any kissage (and would like some), three things: 1) Go You! 2) Only lost the ability to walk? She's not doing it right -- your toes didn't curl first 3) When's it (those of us lacking the kissage) our turn (to get some kissage)?!?!

Hi SBDB, JamesTheDark, Kelkhil, Laurelin, Penguin, CK, JohnnyQuest, MsG, and everyone else here.

Magda: Okay, how many siblings do you have now (of the virtual kind)? MsG, PR, Nico...I swear you're gonna be walking around with the biggest virtual family around!

Movie/Show remade into a musical: Great...now I have a vision of "Star Trek (the Original Series): The Musical Parody" with the "Star Trekkin'" song, Kirk doing a solo on what a interstellar stud he is, Bones and Spock doing a "Emotionless Vulcan/Illogical" duet, Sulu singing about wanting to captain his own ship, and Scotty singing something about "Nae' bein' able to change the laws of Physics, Capt'n". *snerk* EVIL, EVIL vision! Make it stop! *ARGH!*

Okay, gotta get to doing "real work" here, since tomorrow is a day off (elections -- gotta use the school as a polling place) and so's Friday (yay! Two in one week!)

Edit: Tried to clean up question 3, but it refuses to play nice...I'm asking for kisses (not necessarily from Tristan, tho' I know a few who wouldn't complain ).

Okay, I just accidentally erased my gorram post. AAAAAAAAARRRRGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

Lunch went good. Good conversation and a wonderful thank you hug. I love being appreciated.

The meat of my post. I've been having some discomfort in emotional attachment as of late. There's also been some instances where my damn hyper-vigilence flares up something fierce. I figure its some defense mechanism in my stupid brain. That whole fear of life thing. Its really starting to bug my ass to no end.

Thats it. I'm just really annoyed with myself and have been finding things to do in order to keep it all in check.

Off to run some errands. If I missed anyone Hi and Bye. Got a class tonight so maybe I'll see some of ya 'round later.
