I'm #27. People need to get their fingers moving and click over to that website. Let this be a first wave in alerting the networks to our presence.

No power in the 'verse can stop me.

You know, if I really thought it would do anything... I would sign it.

But I honestly don't think anyone pays attention to online petitions. It is far too easy to fake signatures to get huge numbers. I'll be showing my appreciation of Firefly with my hard-earned cash instead, and buying DVD sets for myself and everyone I know.

The studios tend to listen to that kind of input.

Not signing certainly doesn't do anything, and it only takes a couple of minutes to sign. Besides, this is free so you'll still be able to support Firefly with your hard-earned cash. Why shouldn't we do all we can to show our support?

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I am # 47.

Though I can see PhysicsChick point, there is no harm in signing. I have already let my money do the talking and bought 5 copies of the DVD, lent my support to the DVD to the Troops, and convinced others to buy the DVDs.

IMHO, the more we get Firefly out there for people to see, whether it is talking up the DVDs or signing an online petition, I will do whatever it takes to get Firefly back.

If you want to do something else, go to all the places that sell the DVDs and write rave reviews for the set (Amazon.com, chapters/indigo, Barnes and Noble, etc.).
Not only would it hopefully help sell the set to potiential fans, but it maybe thousands of positive reviews would catch the attention of the "powers that be".
While I agree that money talks, so do positive reviews, and anyone can afford them.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'm #71 on the list. Might not do any good, but it can't hurt to try all we can to get the word out about Firefly.

Now if only 10,200 people were to but the DVD set then that would send a hige message. Unfortuanely, I know many Firefly fans who gave up on the series when it cancelled in 2002. In fact, I was talking to a good friend last night who was a huge fan when it was on tv and didn't even know that Firefly was on DVD or that there was a movie in the works. I think there is a huge fanbase out there that doesn't even realize that Firefly is coming back because they gave up on it back in 2002, their friends haven't told them, or don't have internet access. If Universal does really good advertising for the movie then it would probably bring in all of those fans that don't realize what is going on.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Also to note is that petition was started back when it seemed like Firefly was about to be canceled by FOX. It was canceled. So alot of the people who signed that petition might not know that they can buy the show on DVD or that the show may be made into a movie.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.
