It's not all that early to be wondering what my fellow Browncoats want for Christmas. And, you know, I'm the curious type so here's where this comes from. I was thinking everybody just post the top things they want for Christmas. Will I buy them for you? Probably not. But I thought it would be nice to share. Also, we all want Jayne/Inara in nothing but a bow under our tree, but this is neither the time nor the place to entertain such lewd fantasies (I'll start a thread for that later). Ahem.

1. A set of MahJong tiles (I'm going to China in the summer, and as my Chinese is still very rusty I need another way to bond with people.)

2. Scrabble and Monopoly (All of my other sets are missing pieces and you can only play for so long with a homemade title card for Marvin Gardens)

3. A gift card for Hot Topic (because they not only carry Serenifly shirts, but also a lot of anime gank, and if you order online, there's tons o' discount stuff. We're talking three dollars for a shirt.)

4. A ten pack of strings for my guitars (You would be so surprised how fast I go through a pack! You know, if you cared.)

5. Simon under my tree in nothing but a bow. (Hey, I didn't say anything about the good doctor!)

Terri - you're going to China? You lucky thing! Tell us more! I want details

My wishlist is:

1) A copy of Serenity: The Official Visual Companion. I've read Geekmafia's, but seriously need to get my own copy.

2) A copy of The Official Firefly Companion. Yes, I know, I'm a terrible person for not buying this already. I've tried, but life stuff keeps getting in the way! I really want to read it though.

3) News that Firefly has been picked up by a US station and that an Irish TV station has also decided to buy the rights to show the series here. Which isn't as crazy as it sounds since we're already on the second week of the third season of Lost over here - not too shabby at all!

4) News that Joss has decided to film the new series in Ireland since the filming of 'Tudors' is going so well.

5) A letter confirming that I've been hired as a studio assistant and I start work on the set as soon as Christmas is over. "More coffee Mr. Whedon? Oh, Hello Mr. Maher! How are you this morning?"

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

1) A Big Damn Sequel, another Big Damn Series (or both!) Failing that...

2) A Wii (and not just because it has a funny name, either, but because it has the new Zelda game)

3)To somehow magically stumble upon/inherit millions of dollars, which I would then supply to charities and the continuation of Firefly (in that order)

Personally, I would give up quite a few Christmases worth of gifts if it help get us a Serenity sequel or a continuation of the series...but, if I was still asked for a list of desired goodies, then I guess I would say:

1) Clothing. No..it's true. I seldom buy clothing for myself less it's some tacky T-shirt with a lewd or humourous message on it. So I would ask for socks and sweaters and other nice apparel

2) DVD copy of Slither....cuz we gotta support the Captain all year round

3) S1 & S2 of "Airwolf"...many good memories of watching this series with my dad when I was a little sprog in the 80s. That and I got a nifty story idea that merges the 'verses created by Joss and Donald P. Bellasario

4) Handcrafted bookshelves that would hold innumerable books in my collection...cuz my current shelves are bursting with texts and straining under the weight

5) PlayStation 3 or XBox 360...have both predacessor systems, so I could play my old games without hassle. That and I am drooling for some of the anticipated games for both systems

6) Transportation...even a bike would give me reason to smile these days. Walking's nice but after a while, but a way of travelling long distances at a quicker pace than 3kph would go a long way

That and the ladies of Serenity under my tree wearing nothing but giant bows...but that can wait for Terri's lewd fantasies thread

It's never too early to start a list for Christmas......
1. Flan II tickets, especially since this is the last year.
2. More movies/TV of our BDH.
3. Lunch with Joss.
4. Nathan under my tree.
5. Find a cure for my dauther's muscular dystrophy.
Oh, and of course, world peace.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

1) Plane tickets to Australia and thousands of dollars to spend there
2) Plane tickets to Atlanta and a hotel reservation for some time around the end of August
3) Several million dollars to open my own business and pay Joss to make a Big Damn Sequel/new series
4) A few nice swords/daggers/axes etc
5) A genuine browncoat. Like, worn in the series
6) A model of Mal's gun (functional would be nice, but I'd take what I could get)
7) The Serenity Ornament
8) Summer, Sean, Gina, and Alan
But I don't really expect that last one
(honestly not sure I'd know what to do with myself if those four were actually under my tree. I might faint dead away)

1) Enough money to tell Joss to go do what he wants with our BDH and enough Network clout for all to enjoy it as Joss presents it, not like season 1

2) Kaylee, some whipped cream and guaranteed privacy for a weekend

3) Nathan to get his dues, like a huge budget action trilogy directed by Spielberg or the lead in the next tarantino picture

4) A month in Japan

5) enough anime to watch something new everynight for a year

6) a time machine so I can go back and do a terminator on f*x' execs before they ruin TV forever - i promise this is all I'd change

A sequel would be great, worth a thousand Christmases even.

But failing that I would want...

1. A Playstation 3, which happens to be a whopping $600 dollars. Consequently, my mom paid about $70 for our first Sega Genesis. Oh, the times they are a-changin'.

2. A Firely and Serenity Visual Companion.

3. A 4GB SanDisk MP3 player.

4. Final Fantasy VII and the Versus Strategy Guide to go with it (hey, I'm a fan of the classics).

5. Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, and James Marsters waking me up Christmas morning. Though I suspect I'll be fighting FMF for the captain.

A new TV (preferably something bigger than my 17 inch screen that I bought in the 80's for 500.00 dollars.) It still works but c'mon..... the screens too damn small to see anything.

I was going to ask for Corel Art software but as I know I'm getting ti from my very bestest friend I can take that off my list.

Any new games for my Super Nintendo (yes, I said SNIS. Or think bigger and any of the Playstations or X Box.

A job doing what I love best (art)

A bike would be nice.

Wash alive and well and in the sequel.

A new monitor and better speakers for my comp.

Good headphones.

Gift certificate for allll the movies I want to buy.

A job doing what I love.

The NDP out of office.

A job doing what I love.

A winter version of Zoe's coat.

Our gorram house finally built -- I'm tired of this ruttin' apartment.

Can always use another sword or three -- but not 'til the gorram house is built, 'cuz we're really running out of room.

A new pistol, this one will do nicely:

I've got a-plenty of cartrige guns (though I wouldn't turn down another, of course), so now I need me a muzzle-loader.

And somebody to start paying me for some of the stuff I've been doing entirely too much for free -- not that I'll stop, but hey, a few creds for it now and again would be awful nice.

But, that's on most of our eternal wish lists and not just our Christmas list. It's all three comics in one book, including all 9 comic covers (plus a shiny cover of its own).

The only downside is that it's a slightly smaller form factor than the original comics.
