I'm not going for sympathy, just explaining the situation I have a big house I am alone in right now, and I don't even have the desire to put up a tree. Morning, Everyone. to all- Things have finally slowed down at work and I'm able to focus on what really counts - my life and friends online! Tristan, make sure you put up that tree, deck those halls, and make with the merry. If you don't you could be one sad little Alabaman come Christmas. Besides, who's gonna make Christmas for you? Yup, gotta DIY. Well, coffee beckons, and it may have warmed up enough to have myself a little smokey treat break. Maryland isn't 75 degrees anymore... (I for one am happy for Cheney's daughter. She and her partner have been together a looong time. Building a family is the next step in a relationship, regardless if it is same sex or not. )

Zeek , I've done both & found that just telling my opinion if I'm asked is much easier.Or if it's that bad I won't wait until asked.I cannot abide by holding my toungue while someone I care about is being hurt, or taken advantage of.I'd be right upfront , but I've learned that the hard way. Bad relationships - seen them from both sides and I'm with LittleAlbatross. You have to figure out it's bad on your own. You can tell a person they're in a sucky situation, but a lot of the time they just don't listen. I didn't. I was convinced that my friends just didn't grasp the complexities of my particular situation. And I've since watched some of them make the same mistakes as me. It's a sad fact of life. You have to be a browncoat though. Never give up trying! Don't shut up unless the friend threatens to cut off all ties with you, as it's important to be there when they need you.
