The wife and i quit the tree thing long ago - if we feel the need to see one we go over to the creek place (ranch) - there is a huge living cedar tree we call the xmas tree - because of its shape - birds and wildlife are our ornaments - hot cider or tea and some pepperment work just as well as millions of electric bulbs and inflatable snowmen for the spirit... peace be with you....

Quote:Originally posted by Tristan: Mircea, sorry I missed your leaving! Thanks for dropping by, and stay warm! I am not a fan of Buffy, DTH, but that was funny. MSG...does there have to be a reason stated when asking someone out? Mine are usually along the lines of "I am captivated by you, under the spell of your beauty...the sparkle in your eyes and the way your lips gently curve when you smile upon the world strike deep into my heart. I desire to be near you, to hear you speak, see you laugh, breathe the same air as you...I throw myself at your feet as a slave to desire and longing". I can tell you from experience that actually saying this outloud has caused me no great deal of lost dates.

Not sure why I felt the need to point that out ) Not sure why either since the use of the adverb "sneakily" would be modifying a verb such as "flees" and would improperly used to modify a noun like "fleas" which has a verb form, "to flea" as a dog, but actually means to "DE-flea" and so is of dubious origin. Also I was unnerved by the end of your post when reading it in response mode. : tongue : The emoticon looks "cute", the mechanism to post it is...suggestive... EDIT: Quote:Originally posted by Hell's Kitten: Why is there no "Run Away With Me" thread? Hm. Yeah, why not? I'm ready to run. Been to NZ in my head. Didn't you see LOTR 1-3?

Oh we could have an all Firefly community with daily screenings and fan fic read alouds, and an all day Chinese buffet It may prove somewhat difficult due to the coup underway there at the moment. The whole 'army taking over and enforcing strict curfews on everyone' thing kinda dampens the mood.

Acid test: what kind of comics do you like?*giggle* I was kidding. I was made to suffer through those three grossly over-extended movies. I only wish Sam and Frodo could have sat on that rock in the lava ocean holding each other tenderly for another couple hours.[ /sarcasm]
Quote: Comics? The Sandman (Neil Gaiman's version, not Golden Age) was the very first comic I purchased with my allowance, at the recommendation of my wise older brother. He am smart. After that, Wolverine was my second love. Hard to imagine, huh? *snikker* I'll fast-forward through the ages to present: I will buy anything written by Warren Ellis, Neil Gaiman, or Joss Whedon; many things by Alan Moore, Garth Ennis (Preacher!! coming to HBO ), and Grant Morrison; Matt Fraction's Cassanova is fantastic; Anthony Johnston's Wasteland is absolutely phe-nom-en-al; Hellblazer; um... mainly independents with some classical tights-and-capes comics (like Bendis' Daredevil) thrown in for geek's sake. So, how's that acid test looking?
