Okay. I made that last one up, but the rest is true! The potholes are not good on heavily trafficked roads (they're not as bad as L.A. or New York, but we never have any potholes, so this is bad). And, with our luck, it will probably snow again.

I want so desperately to still like all that snow, but there's just no end...

lighting designer caught me this morning on gmail chat, and... well, no dice. I'm not sure i know what to feel about this, cause if she really was eager about such a relationship upon offering, she wouldnt be the lighting designer i've come to love.

And yes magdachan (i think that is the affectionate ending and -san is the teacher ending lol, so we may have it backwards) you were right, this didnt destroy our friendship, but i do think its a lot more awkward... on my side.

Oh well, gotta run, will be back in an hour, sorry to barge in.

-chan is affectionate/feminine/casual ending. -san is usually more formal/polite. -kun is buddy/male/casual ending (so you're usually not going to hear a someone call for "Magda-kun" without some very strange looks). -sensei is usually what you call a teacher/doctor/other learned person. (ex. "Allen-sensei" if Mr./Ms./Mrs. Allen was your karate teacher/Japanese langauge teacher/etc.)

...okay, I'm going to stop that before I start a long winded thing on "how to address a person in Japanese."

Anyhoo...to elaborate.

Not sure how i feel about all this: if I'm not mistaken, lighting designer and i may actually be better friends for the getting out in the open some stuff between us.

I dunno. A few months back, a friend of mine who is a sophomore to my senior, gave me a note that she had a crush on me. I guess i know now how hard that was for her. Essentially i told her that we were still friends, and ultimately it didnt change anything, I still hug her as a way of saying goodbye as has become our tradition, and I still spend as much time with her, and... it didnt change anything. But I didnt feel that way about her.

I cant even describe what it is... what puts the lighting designer different from all the other women I know, and if she is even different... in that sense I'm glad she turned this whole thing down, that she doesnt see me in that way, because i'm not even sure what i feel. Yes I always want to be near her when she's in the room, and yes she makes me happy just by doing whatever she's doing, yes when she smiles i want to smile with her, when she dances i want to dance along with her, when she runs, i run with her (despite her being the superior athlete)... i dont know where i'm going with this. we share many of the same views on feminism, and ironically she still hasnt seen firefly, but........

I'm glad I havent lost her as a friend, and like i said above, maybe this, the fact that we all know where we stand now, will make the relationship better. But not in the sense I had dared to hope for for about 16 hours yesterday and this morning.

I'm not sure how to feel about the Mutual Friend who forced me into this (she didnt force me, but I never would have said anything, definitly not so fast, had it not been for her interference)... she definitly shook things up between me n the lighting designer, though in terms of getting back at her, really all i needed to do was tell her what happened to make her feel guilty. Oh well, it's really amazing of her to barge in on people, and to be so accurate in her observations. I cant fault her for that.

I guess this whole thing will blow over, though clearly my romantic high school relationship prospects (something 48 hours ago i would have laughed at the sound of) are rather dashed. Oh well.

Oh - and I agree with you that mutual friend was caring and looking out for your happiness - in the long run it is better to know that to live your life wondering - I know I have said it before... but the things I truly regret in my life are the things I didn't do... like ask a certain guy out... kiss someone... give someone a chance... When I think back now to the few guys I had the courage to ask out, and who turned me down - I am thrilled that I had the courage... and in more than one case - we are still friends!

But, I have to disagree about MF. She probably thought she was being helpful and considerate but really she was just butting in. Are you the type to need someone to threaten or dare you before you take action? If so, maybe MF was just being a good friend. But I would be upset. NO NO NO NO , I'm not ready for Friday yet. I have to hop a plane to Cali to help my girlfriend pack for the movers on Monday. Tuesday we drive cross country with 2 small dogs , 17 snakes , all her electronics stuff , clothes etc and a pit stop in Texas to pick up a cooler of frozen feeders. I"M NOT READY YET.

Damn house is a mess , I don't havbe the caging done and haven' started on the dog run yet. AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH.

Someone said something about coffee?

RIMG , I usually throw in 5 bags of plain ol tea and add 1 or 2 bags of peach flavor tea, bring to a gentle boil for 5 minutes , steep for 10 minutes , add water and sweeten to taste. It's tastes damn near like Brachs Peach hardcandy.

On a sde note. Made the significant other fur lined mocassin slippers for Valentines Day. Freakin hair is everywhere LMAO. Thought I'd share.
