But it does not make me twitchy. Twitchiness and jumping the gun on that game costs you three seconds.

Morning one and all! Happy Valentines to those that like the holiday... Happy Day to those that don't.

We have a fun tradition at work where a co-worker cuts out words/Phrases from magazines and puts them on hearts. The words describe each person from out department, and there is one heart for each of the 18 of us. We then spend the day trying to figure out which heart represents which person. 'Tis a fun game, sort of teambuilding and makes the day go by quickly. (some words on mine last year? "Broke, whatever makes you happy, Free Spirit, Completely Real, This body can swing again, Ouch" ) 'Course there is usually a picture of a horse on mine, so I'm one of the easiest to figure out.

I just tried the sheep game. Let's just say I suck. I kept jumping the gun and assessing myself a 3 second penalty. Enough times to end the game before all 5 sheep tried to escape. But I did get a few within milliseconds of their departure.

I finally figured it out, but I mouse with my left hand, and click with the middle finger of that hand (mouse is on the left side, but I haven't changed the buttons to be "left-handed", they're still right handed) so I was slow at first. Then not so much. Got Bobbing Bobcat with both hands.

Yet another reason Georgia is a meteorological anomoly:

Yesterday it was close to 70 for a high. Today, when I left for work, it was breezy and 50ish. When I went to lunch, however, it was barely 40 outside, not even considering wind chill. I mention this not because of the temps, which I relaize are warmer than most of the rest of y'all, but because it was actually colder at lunch (11 am) than in the morning (6 am).

Oh, well - someone today was thoughtful enough to get me a little Valentine's card with a skull on it, so I'm set.

Everytime I play the sheep game, I seem to get worse. Between jumping the gun and missing them altogether, I've gone from a Rocketing Rabbit to a Sluggish Snail. Must be the Valentine's vibes screwing me up.

So good to be back.

We got a decent ice storm - no work on Valentine's Day. We had junk food, played video games and lounged around in the pajamas for a long time. Why can't every day be like that?

So I shovel this incredibly heavy snow/sleet crap off Dora after the plows come through, (I park not in the driveway, but on a parking pad near the front curb)and some time last night, another plow reburies my truck to the wheel wells and it froze. Dora was stuck this AM, even with 4X4. Had to use a crowbar to chisel away the ice.
(I think I owe Husband big time! )

msg, that game is diabolical. Thanks for sharing!

And I got roses on the 13th - he anticipated he wouldn't be able to get them on the 14th. I was so surprised!

I am also of the opinion that we (the younger/youngish Browncoat Babes) have grown up being taught to embrace our sexuality, to revel in it.
Women of my "era" were just starting to feel this way in the 80's. Women of PR's/ DTH's era have always known this to be true.

We don't just lie back and think of England.

I thought it was more that women weren't suppose to enjoy sex. Some of those attitudes are still prevalent today. Women who like sex (too much) are nymphos or sluts. Men who like sex are fulfilling the biological imperative to sow their oats and are "studs."

Oh, and good morning to you all.

I'm hoping I don't break the board again. It really is starting to seem like my posting is the magic bullet.

Think of Englund?

I am incapable of independent thought on the subject. I am incapable of objective thought on the subject. I am incapable of thoughts on the subject without risk of insult, arrest or ostracization. So:

"I am of the opinion that (the older/oldish Babes) had grown up being taught to eschew their sexuality, to revile it.
Women of my "era" just never got the chance to feel okay about it until the 80's. Women of that era never knew this to be true until way later in life."

Years ago Mad Magazine did a thing on the history of sex. Under the Victorian Era it said: "There was no sex during the Victorian Era.
This was Queen Victoria:

Now you know why.

Sadly, I cannot access the original characature, but this one works well enough.

Yup in the Middle Ages it was seen as normal for a woman to enjoy sex...then King James and a variety of popes came along and "poof" sex was for procreation, women weren't meant to enjoy it, etc..

Also King James is the one who "edited" the bible to include the phrase thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. It wasn't there before...kinda makes you wonder what kind of mom he had, doesn't it??
