Ok there is only one swedish fish in my cup...I really want fewer of these jelly beans and more swedish fish ( our cute principal makes up little hand mixed cups of jelly beans, pretzels, cheese-its, swedish fish, chocolate covered raisins, etc. and passes them out during the conference to keep our strength up) Sadly I have investigated my cup's contents and found only one swedish fish...I shall go next door and raid Bruce's cup ( my best friend) for fish.

Well coolerites, I feel like poo. The dog woke me up around 3 AM, and I couldn't get back to sleep. As I am accustomed to occasional bouts of insomnia, I decided to make myself useful and went downstairs to do a load of laundry.
With the laundry successfully started, I went back upstairs to watch tv. Climbing the stairs, I stepped on one of the dog's squeeky toys, slipped, and tumbled down. My right knee is howling today, and my tushy bruise is making it difficult to sit. Somehow, I managed to do this without waking anyone up...
But on the bright side ( there always is one ) my new wheels may arrive today! More likely it will come tomorrow, but there is an outside chance it could be this afternoon.

Do you think it is okay to mix caffeine and mass doses of codeine? Guess we'll find out, as I am unable to give up either one today.

Rhyianan- hm since Joss based it on several books about the civil war in America around 1860 I'd suggest looking for the books he used for inspiration and drawing parallels between them. For example there was one Confederate unit which didn't surrender until 3 weeks after surrender and that would correlate to the siege of Serenity Valley. You could also look at the Reconstruction period when the federal government came into the south and took over to establish new laws and such as the Alliance taking over the planets. The Pledge of Allegiance now said in all American schools is in reality the Iron Clad oath which all defeated southerners had to sign to "prove" their loyalty and you could draw parallels with the "Alliance Day" celebrations and such...ok I will stop now as I have switched to teacher mode...but let me know how it goes.

Why would you have to force them? I would think anyone reading about her accomplishments and her perseverance would realize her huge contribution to the world. She is definitely top 5 women who made a difference.

Just got off the phone "talking forcefully" to Montgomery County's Dept of Transportation. Reported a pothole back on the 22nd. County came out and verified existance of pothole (living in front of my house, and cars hitting it are spewing chunks of asphalt at Dora) on the 23rd, and promptly did nothing about it. So I just pitched a bitch. Nicely.

They are dispatching a crew right now to fix it.
