I completely believe this...having a pic of Nathan in "Trash" up there for all time (instead of it changing over) would surely push any casual viewer of FFF.Net to even more sales of DVDs, which might help us in the long run with sequels!

While I wouldn't really like to see FF/S moving into the realm of the rest of mass media with primarily sex appeal driving it, I think this may unfortunately be what is needed, and I would support this plan. Hell, I'd even get nekkid to keep the show going, not that it would necessarily help anything...

Jayne: "What we need is a di-version. I say Zoe gets nekkid."

Wash: "No."

Jayne: "I could get nekkid."

Wash: "NO!"

I think this could be done tastefully, and just as long as the show goes on and we Browncoats can appreciate it for what it always has been that there is no problem. I will admit, however, that I definitely would not mind seeing Inara (especially), River, Kaylee, Zoe, and even YoSafBridge naked, but maybe something like a toned-down Maxim featurette would be good.

That might look a little cheap and desperate to the uninitiated, and we're not cheap and desperate, we're precious and defiant! And remember, Fox's trailers already made it look like Firefly was about hookers in space, and apparently it didn't help that much.
Besides, we were just goofing around. At least I was. Not that I'd complain about nekkid BDHs, mind you.

Yes, we were goofing around (or so I'm telling myself anyway)!

I'm actually a feminist, so I'm naturally inclined to be offended by that stuff, the idea that "sex sells". That River had to look like a space hooker on the DVD cover when it had nothing to do with the character or the movie ('cept Inara). I went to see The Talented Mr. Ripley because it looked like an interesting movie, not because I heard Jude Law had a nude scene in it. I understand though that there ARE others out there who did go just to see him naked. If David Boreanaz (who is SOOO pretty!) did a nude layout in a magazine, I wouldn't buy it.

But, I am human, and I DO tend to notice the obvious...Nathan has a cute butt and I enjoy looking at it. Maybe casual (perverted) viewers would too.
