We've got a pretty wide ranging crowd here. Anyone know where I could order Moose Drool from relatively inexpensively.

And no, I'm not referring to actual moose saliva. Moose Drool is a brown ale brewed in Missoula, MT.

I think nighttime is dark so you can imagine your fears with less distraction.

Top o' the mornin' to all ya fine folks.

So here it is. I woke up with a hangover ten minutes before I had to be at work yesterday, found out I had a WIC appointment for the kids, and really felt good. While at the WIC appointment I saw a her buisness card on the wall and asked for the number.

Called, had a long lunch, talked for another half hour in the parking lot.

Clearing the air. Even if there is no more contact between us at least I don't have to be angry anymore.

Ahh the clensing power of my happy drink, anything with tequilla in it. Tons more details but I need to work.

Mav-Yes I saw the premier. I tivo'd the next episode but haven't gotten around to watching it. I though Eddie was so good ( really surprised he's finally getting acting skills instead of just being funny) I am very very worried about Minnie Driver...she has either gone method actor on us and lost a ton for the scary skinny addict...or she's dying of a terminal disease.

Jonny- yeah but I've done you before...LOL

Hey I told MsQ about HK's comment on your heroism (fireman's carry, we love you, MsG) and how yet again you remind me of her. She reminds me of you. Each of the other. Whatever. I told her I could easily see her doing the direct thing. And as proof I listed some of her favorite movies. Stand and Deliver, Lean on Me, Dangerous Minds and of course To Sir With Love.

I'm having one of those days where I barely feel in control of my own brain. I've basically locked myself in my apartment so I don't do something I'll regret. Well... nothing physical that I'll regret.

My regrets have always been of the emotional, psychological, personal ones. I've always feared physical stupidity, but have also always managed to manage that. Still not a good thing.

Kinda depends on what day it is Hk.

Mon-Wed I work for AmerenIP as a scanner tech. Basically I scan and attach maps for the archives.

Thurs-Fri I work for Manpower as a clerk/staffing specialist. Mostly means I enter people's data into the computers and try to find jobs for people that don't really want to work.

Eh, depends on where the rest of the body weight is distributed, and how much of it there is. My backbone and ribs in back are visible, depending on how I sit or stand, because I don't carry any weight in my back at all. But my BMI is right about 21.0 or so. I carry my weight mostly in my chest and a bit in my tummy, but not in my hips or back. Consequently, my waist measurement is the same as my underbust measurement (I literally go straight down, no curving inward for the waist), and my family teases me that I have "no butt". Actually, my bust and hip measurements are the same, lol.

I have a friend I've known since high school who has the craziest metabolism I've ever seen, and who enjoys being physically active. Her ribs are visible both in front and in back (then again, so are her abs, and all the muscles in her back), and she's had teachers worry that she has an eating disorder. It's only because I've known her for 10 years now, and have shared hotel rooms with her on band trips and such, that I can say with a fair amount of certainty that she doesn't have an eating disorder. All the women in her family are built like that, and on top of that, she's always been into physical activity, has run several marathons, sometimes training for a marathon while taking a ballet class as well. I know people look at her and make assumptions, but honestly, she just wants to find a single pair of jeans that actually fit her, lol.

All that said, with the pressures of Hollywood and the way Minnie Driver has looked in years past, I'm sure there's a chance that there's nothing natural about her body shape these days.

Well, no. but I think when you're already skinny, skinny that stress or emotional upset can easily take off a few pounds and at that already skinny point one pound can be too many.

Most women can relate, and often celebrate, in the the break-up diet (or I'm-emotionally-stressed diet). Tiny people, not so much

Though I'm one of those crazy metabolism people I think. I just don't gain weight no matter what I eat. You can see my ribs and probably my backbone. Don't know how the rest of you are looking at your backbones. I think there might be something wrong with your neck that you should look into before worrying about your weight. Anyway, I still think it's normal to worry about people. I constantly try to get my mom to eat more. She's skinnier than me but she eats next to nothing. So, with her I complain.

I was well into my 20s before I got a correct fitting, but thankfully I managed to pass the info along to my younger sisters (it runs in the family, you see), so they don't have to go through the years of bra woes that I went through.

I've become a bit of a bra expert out of necessity: I wear a 30G (G, as in "ginormous pain in the ass"), which translates to about an 8 inch difference between the bust and underbust measurement, depending on the style of the bra. I've found that a well fitting bra makes all the difference when it comes to back pain, oy! I was well into my 20s before I got a correct fitting, but thankfully I managed to pass the info along to my younger sisters (it runs in the family, you see), so they don't have to go through the years of bra woes that I went through.

...and those sisters live in Austin?

I actually have no idea how huge G is but it sounds sorta excessive.

EDIT: oh oh I shoulda added "cause they can play with my wii anytime" lol I love the name wii

Oh yeah, it's totally excessive, lol. I've been contemplating getting a reduction sometime after I turn 30, but we'll see. Because my rib cage is freakishly small, even if I went down to a C or a D, I still wouldn't be able to buy a bra in a normal store. And if I ever end up having kids, both my ribcage and bust measurements will probably change, so I wouldn't want to make any decisions until I've decided on the kids issue. The whole thing is just a pain in the butt, lol.

And my sisters do indeed live in Austin, but they're both a good deal younger than me. The youngest is still in high school, where we joke she's in danger of making the boys spontaneously explode, when she wears shirts such as http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/ladies/85d1/ and http://www.jinx.com/scripts/details.asp?productID=741 , along with her d20 necklace ( http://www.thinkgeek.com/apparel/jewelry/7ae3/ -- I use mine as a keychain ).

*giggle* Actually I shouldn't laugh. I've got a candy stash at work.

James: I hope things even out for you. *hugs*

NVG: I'm glad things went well for you and I hope she continues with this new level of maturity.

Well, looks like I missed everyone. I hope ya'll have a good weekend!

Wow they sound like they would put my nerdiness to shame. But still you could convince them to go to the drafthouse for the can't stop the serenity screening. Then I could just be the creepy old (I hope I'm not actually considered old yet) guy checking them out. That is if I can still convince any of my friends to go with me. I may have destroyed any Serenity watching ability left in them. I only made them see it in theaters like 3 times by now and a few more times on DVD. I need to find new people to convert!
