Okay, question for y'all.
It seems the subject of "She" has turned more than just my stomach. Mine is a strange nervous disorder known as "Don't like to be F'd with". But there is also some other strange and exhilarating quality to my nervousness. I have absolutely no problem when speking directly with her. Though very attractive, there seems to be a very open line of communication with little distraction. But when I talk with her on the phone or leave a gorram message (which I hate no matter the situation) I stammer and get all nervous and shaky and crap.
Here's my actual question.
Why the hell is that? I can't seem to find an answer for myself.

NVG - that is weird, as it is usually the other way around. lemme ponder it for a minute.

I think leaving messages just adds extra pressure. There is no time for a break where the other person is talking and you get to think out your response. Instead you're on the hook to keep talking and thinking "what am I leaving out" the whole time. Plus it's always a pain to end a phone message "so yeah um...I guess just uh call me back whenever...uh bye".

You guys are gonna be sorely disappointed when Famke Janssen doesn't appear! Her and whoever that other woman is - is that Felicity Huffman? I don't think so. Why can't the designers wrap their heads around the concept that fabric meant for pillows can't be used on sofas? I'm pleasantly pleased that my hair doesn't get caught in my office chair anymore. Don't get me wrong I'm still annoyed that it got cut off, but I really need to look for some upsides. I wonder if I can get my truck inspected tomorrow. Tidbit had a field trip to Build-a-Bear today. I wonder how it went. Husband has softball practice tonight. Maybe I'll make salmon for dinner. Well, I've got to stop typing, start running my end of day reports, and scoot home.

I shaved my head last winter. I got fed up, pulled out the clippers, handed them to Laurelin and told her to get rid of it all. Darn stuff keeps growing back though.

I had longish hair when I got out of the Army. I grew it to almost sholder (sp) length but was sick of people giving me st at the mall when ever I was waiting for Laurelin to get out of work.

Build-A-Bear if a cool store. They arn't that overly priced for stuffed animals. It gets pricey when you add the clothing and other accessories.

I completely understand your point. It's like how I am drawn to what my grandmother called "man" shoes. They aren't actually men's shoes...they just have some substance to them. Dainty shoes make me look like a light breeze will blow me over. The proportionality of dainty shoes is off with my body type. Did I get close?

MAvs: sorry about the hair. Even though I've done some radical cuts on my hair, I would be upset if my stylist did something I wasn't prepared or asking for. And I'll join you in the hair pity party: I was suppose to get my hair done today (I love hair doing days) but they called saying they have no power. Sad, sad.

Oh, look. A picture of Starbuck. I had the BIGGEST crush on Starbuck. Apollo came in third...behind Moffet (spelling?). I really wanted Moffet. Poor Apollo, subject to the whims of a seven year old.

Oh, see, I thought what you said was clever, implying that Starbuck was more a man than Apollo was. And before anyone fires back, no, I am not making a sweeping generalization about "man vs. woman," I am just saying I thought it was funny.

Anyways, I hope everyone experiencing this great weather (at least in Illinois) is enjoying it. Now if only I could find the time to lay out in the sun...

Do I come off as random? I don't mean to be. As robotic and scientific as you seem HK there seems to be some things that just don't compute. I guess my goal is to understand the other side of abstract thinking.

(Here it comes)
So many people tell me that my beliefs are abstract. But I think math and science are more abstract ideas. Can you touch science or math any more than you can touch love or god? All the perceptions of our minds seem to have drawn so many lines between people that we seem to forget to blur the lines. I feel like a little kid learning to fade pencil marks in their art.

Okay, it does sound a bit random. I'm off of work and going home now.

See y'all some other time.

Yep, somewhat random.

Random isn't bad, per se.

I've noticed that your particular brand of randomness leads you to ask questions, but you don't actually ask what you mean to ask. For example, you started with "What kind of mishaps befall you HK?" and then say that your goal is to "understand the other side of abstract thinking." One just doesn't naturally follow the other. At least not directly. So I had to ask.

The "(Here it comes)" part of your post interests me, and I would like to respond, but I am far too tired and weary right now. I'd like to get back to it later.......

Amen to both of those brother. Actually, there are microbreweries somewhere (never been to one, just heard of them) where you can go and design your own brew. They do all the work, then you pick up the end product and pay for it. I think they even do custom labels at some...

Actually, yes, which is why I believe in the first two and don't so much in the last two. I can go into a lab, run a current through a resistor, then measure the voltage drop from one side to the other. Unless the damn thing is blown I will get results that are reasonable close (within tolerance) to what theory tells me.

Or did I miss something in your question?

Morning, RIMG & Hobbleit! No one else check in yet?

jimi, you are all kinds of sweet. I just don't want you & JQ to have some sort of inflated image of me in your head. I'm just this girl, see? Well, no you don't as there are no pics of me. Regardless...

Sorry to hear about the little one. Tidbit has only done that once in his time here on Earth; he rarely throws up. I can understand - I would be in his room to make sure he's okay, too. Get some sleep while you're at work today, ok?

This morning's drive to morning care (I really shouldn't call it daycare because he's only there until they drive him to school) was "Medicine Show" by Big Audio Dynamite. (We like us some Mick Jones!)

Is my coffee ready yet???

EDIT: After reading jimi's newest signature...I feel mildly...subhuman all of the sudden.

EDIT 2: Tidbit's trip to Build A Bear went well, and yes, the expensive bear is cute. He named it Fluffy. Thank Heavens he didn't name it Max. He went through a phase where every animal, everything to be named, was "Max".

In ASCII 00101010 is the '*'.

MSG

Hey all... I shall have time to read all the wonders of the water cooler later. Remember how I had those lovely weekend plans..well ha the germs had other ideas. By Saturday night I had a full blown case of bronchitis so I've spent the last 4 days lying in a heap on my bed coughing up my lungs and such..feeling better now, though seriously drugged up and all. I've miss you all and can't wait to read all you've written.

msg! I was wondering where you had gotten to. I thought you'd gone on spring break.

(Hug)...but not too hard as to hurt ribs tender from coughing.

Glad to hear you are feeling better.
