Best version of "All Along The Watchtower" ever. Period.

Yep. I like it more than Hendrix's version, and I like that one a lot.

May I suggest heading to the Other Science Fiction Series thread about it at:

http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=8&t=27771

You'll find a great link to the blog of Bear McCreary about the song.

I read his blog earlier today. VERY interesting. At least I know where to get the song now. (Taps toes impatiently waiting for the Soundtrack to Season 3 to come out)

When I first heard it last night I flipped out. "OMG!!! I NEED THAT SONG!"

I scoured the net trying to find it but couldn't.

My husband joined a BSG forum just so he could ask about it and tell me who sang it. My husband does NOT join fan forums. I think he loves my nerdy ass, huh?

LOL

Ditto. Likely gonna have to order it from somewhere, since soundtracks don't seem to hit brick'n'mortar stores that often. (Are there soundtracks to seasons one and two? 'Cause I've never even heard of them.)

Yeah, there are soundtracks for seasons 1 and 2, as well as a soundtrack for the Miniseries. The miniseries is a different composer than the show though (Richard Gibbs instead of Bear McCreary). If you get the season 1 soundtrack, I will recommend "Wander My Friends"...I love it. Haven't had a chance to absorb season 2 yet, but I'm sure it's good.

I have an account at www.allofmp3.com. They had season 2. I bought 2 songs "Black Market" and "Escape from the Farm". Cost me like 50ยข.

As for the cylons...hubby thinks they aren't really cylons. I think they are. We have a whole dollar riding on that bet.

Before I saw the labels, I thought that was a graph of Starbuck's career.

While the song is good, I felt like it ruined the last part of the episode. Made it feel really cheesy, to me.

Isn't the world an amazing place.

What you found cheesy I found haunting and I'll be thinking about it til the next ep.

Same here...I was yelling "WOW! COOL!" and my hubby was singing along...LOL

I have loved the show since the first episode even though I was prepared to hate it. Don't know what to say about all those fickle folk out there.

I loved the song too, but then I collect fanvids, and this was like a professionally-done, in-continuity fanvid.

Bah! You're joking, right? She's by far the most interesting character on the show (imho, of course )! There was rioting in the forum streets when they offed her a few episodes ago, and already inflamed tempers blew sky high when we were told it was because those in charge thought it would be an "audacious" move! BSG lost viewers over this!
Of course, I will say that the hadn't been using her character in a way that I was happy with for a couple of episodes beforehand. Stop being mopey! Deal with your problems by hiding them behind your attitude, bravado and a Stogie! But yeah, her flying up:
"Yeah, it's me. I'm chillin'. Dude, don't look so freaked out, Apollo. I mean, c'mon, you only saw me explode, quit trippin'."
Hah.
Not Starbuck-speak, but you get the notion...

RPG launcher bought in third world country illegally - $10
Landmines - $50 per
Attack/track dogs bred 1st class - $250-500 per
Highpowered assault rifles - $600 per
The look on your face when I show up on your doorstep with a bigfoot - ... Priceless
