But when you drop the powder, the top inevitably flies off and a mist of fine dust settles everywhere.

It doesn't matter whether it is powder or pressed. I've dropped them both.

But it's nice to know I'm not the only one who keeps Stila in the $$!

Zeek I love you..I really really love you!! That was truly hilarious!!

OK RIMG thanks( I think) for the porn explaination

Jonny- hmm now with all these services available...ok not finishing this

Mav- oh damn that's seriously annoying. I've done that once or twice and usually I just gather up the pieces and use the back of a spoon to grind it into loose powder and put it in a tupperwear container...or buy a new one.

Oh so glad we're back

Lol, Zeek! IIRC from my time in Austin, HEB actually used to go by the name "Butts'". I think the founder's name was Herbert E. Butts or something along those lines. They must have decided to change the name of the store to HEB after some observant 5th graders got ahold of the name...

Btw, I saw a single bucket of the Ben&Jerry's Stephen Colbert flavor at a Von's (aka Safeway) out here in SoCal a few weeks ago. For some reason I picked up The Godfather flavor instead (which was ok, but I generally don't think ice cream should have quite that much nougat. ) I blame the purchase on PMS-induced brain fog! I honestly don't remember if there are Vons/Safeways in Austin, but I know my family is also on the lookout for the Colbert flavor, so I'll let you know if they find any.

How insulting. Of course I remember Vons. They don't have any in Austin but I haven't completely forgotten San Diego. Do they still have Lucky's too? That place used to have those awesome can crushing machines that spit out change for all your recycling. Me and my brother loved those things. That's a good income for kids.

Hey NVG! I never got to wish you happy birthday. Happy belated birthday!

Just to let you (and anyone else who missed it) know, Chris Moorehead was around over the weekend. He's on R&R, apparently. Posted a quick hello and disappeared again, but I'm sure you could catch him with a PM.

On the subject of bad porn, someone is sending emails with the subject "Brittney Spears Naked Pussy and Paris Hilton!" to the office mail. Do they *really* expect me to open those emails? Please!

Like I'm even remotely interested in Brittney's cat.

*I* don't remember if there are Von's in Austin, silly boy! It's me who has the bad memory, not you.

I haven't seen any Lucky's here, but I'm a good 90 miles north of San Diego, so maybe it's more a San Diego thing?

Gah, now I really want ice cream! And right after we started a "household diet" -- that is, hubby wants to lose ~30 lbs, so I've committed to help him with that by keeping bad foods out of the house, and supporting him in exercising, etc, (and maybe lose a few pounds myself along the way). Shame on me. This is a recipe that I submitted to the 2nd version of the Big Damn Chefs book:

Mudder's Milk(shake)

Jane: "They call it 'Mudder's Milk'. Got all the protein, vitamins, and carbs of your grandma's best turkey dinner, plus fifteen percent alcohol."

In the town Canton the man Kessler wasn't rich by any means. He moved quite a bit of contraband but never filched any of what he moved. Recently he got his hands on an ice cream machine lifted from a core world. Certainly almost useless on the rim, he had hoped to find a core-world contact to buy it. After Kessler's untimely demise the machine became the property of the Canton Tavern to pay off his drinking debt. It was put to good use.

1 cup (240 ml) Cream, rich, well chilled
1 cup (240 ml) Milk, well chilled
2-4 packets Carnation® Instant Breakfast, dark chocolate
4 cups (1 liter) Chocolate Ice Cream (from the Canton Tavern)
3-4 shots (90-120 ml) Bailey's® Original Irish Cream, well chilled
3-4 shots (90-120 ml) Starbucks® Coffee Liqueur, regular, well chilled
3-4 shots (90-120 ml) DeKuyper® Creme De Cacao, well chilled
Whipped Cream or Whipped Topping
8 dark roasted Coffee Beans, rough ground
1 oz grated Dark Chocolate

chilled blender
chilled thick serving mugs

Notes on ice cream: Select a chocolate ice cream with predominately chocolate flavor, avoiding mint, nuts, chocolate chunks, etc. Ice cream should be brought out of the freezer for about 10 minutes to soften slightly to make the blending easier.

1. Add Cream, Milk, and Breakfast Drink to blender. Whip for five seconds to combine powdered drink.

2. Add Ice Cream in fourths, blending well between each addition. Add three alcohols and whip for ten seconds.

3. Serve in chilled mugs topped with a dab of Whipped Cream and a dusting of ground Dark Chocolate and Coffee.

To make a Virgin Mudder omit alcohol.

The intent of my variation was to get close to the nutritional requirements but make something that didn't taste like Go Se. Plus there is a bit of fun in making it a shake.

Thanks for the belated DTH.

Seems things are a strange match for strange times. The trip with "She..." didn't go down, but as per usual we're exchanging messages and keepin' things in some strange sense of balance.

Still a little lost right now. Had another very good day yesterday. Six victorious games and no hits. I felt like Superman. A buddy invited me to watch Wrestlemania at his house and I enjoyed it greatly. I've hated wrestling since I was twelve.

Anyhoo, back to work I go.

I'm not one to stand in the way of a person's religious beliefs...

Mudder's milk(shake) didn't burst forth from the frothy sea of chocolatey goodness fully grown - it had to be nurtured. It had to undergo extensive testing and retesting. I'm committed to my art. I made a special effort to the NA version (the Virgin Mudder) in that it too must be a drink that stands of it's own merit.

Enjoy (in moderation).

Morning, everyone!
It promises to be a pretty good day. Nice weather, tasty coffee, and zilch to do at work.

Today's driving song was "Dashboard" by Modest Mouse. I think Tidbit likes saying Modest Mouse more than he actually likes the song...but he bopped along with the song regardless. Then my ipod went into the red so no more music until it gets recharged tonight.

There's plenty more where that came from too Sweetheart!! We have a mutually benefitial situation here... you can give away hugs without being poorer and in fact be greatly enriched by the experience - especially when it's someone as wonderful as you!!

Love you lots FMF!!
