I think I did read Cat's Cradle, the name didn't click at first.

Never played D&D, I'm more of a Go guy myself.

I just finised Addicted by Zane, that is a crazy ass book!!!

Also just finished Married to the game by Chunichi, that was a cool book.

Haven't ordered the new potter book yet, still shopping around for the cheapest price.

I really liked Robert Ludlam's Bourne series.

And I highly recomend Fullmetal Alchemist, people make fun of me for reading manga but I just tell them don't knock it till you try it for yourself.

We tried to keep the wee elvies out but they cast a glamour on us that made us think they'd brought wonderful beverages with them. When we shook it off they were entrenched and THAT explains the four cases of Budweiser Light in the corner under the tarp, the one with the hazmat stickers on it.

You know, with the sheer strength and astonishing quantity of virtual alcohol around here I'm surprised we've got elves and not a Feegle infestation..

I never played D&D, but my older brother loved it and he had loads of manuals at home. I loved reading the manuals and making up my own adventures.

In the old version I think I'd be a thief. Or maybe a cleric, since that would give me fighting skills and some magic to have fun with too

In the new system I think I'd be a bard, since that role really caught my imagination.

Rollplaying. *waves hand vaguely at the rest of the room* I think they're playing Dungeons and Dragons rules. Only played a very brief series of Shadow Run myself, and I only barely understood the rules of that. The dice totally elluded me, but pretending to blow stuff up was fun. So I might be able to follow along if a very understanding player were to sit there and explain it all to me, but they all know what they talkin' about, so I can't follow.

See I love D&D. Basically it is like reading a story only I am in charge of what one of the characters is doing. Kinda makes me the Hero of Villan (sp).

And we are not leet PR (but yes we are geeks) But hey if you want less confusing we could play 3rd edition. That made it much simpler to understand rules wise and dice rolling wise.

I know what a geek is, I am a geek, and saying 'yes, we are geeks' to me about something like playing D&D is like someone in a lab boiling various chemicals saying 'yes, we are chemists'.
