Fly, it is from an Eddie Izzard standup routine, a transcript follows:

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen one character in a film on a computer in a realistic way, going… (mimes a tentative computer user) Oh, no, no…“ (moves monitor around) “Let’s put the printer there… the computer… right… Instructions, hold on… “Book of Revelations…” Okay, right, “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print! ‘Cannot access printer’? It’s here. (lifts monitor to show the printer to it) I can access printer! Why the f*ck can’t you access printer? I plugged you in! “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print!” And it’s as if the computer is going,

“I’m not sure what you’re trying to do.”

“I’m trying to print! “Ctrl+P” print!”

“Ah, but there’s something you haven’t done…”

“What? Tell me what it is, I’ll do it! I’ll do it! I’ve got it here…”

“No, I can’t tell you.”

(typing commands) “F*ckin’ tell me! Just- “Ctrl+P” print! It’s five in the morning! It’s only a paragraph! I just want to get this f*cker printed out! I used the fax-modem earlier, and that f*cked it up, didn’t it? I can’t f*cking access the bloody thing, it’s not being used by something else. I’m using the printer port… f*cking… “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print! Print “Ctrl+P”! Print “Ctrl+P”! “Ctrl+P” print! (gibberish)
‘A problem of type 2094 has occurred.’ What the f*ck is that? What are the 2,093 other problems I just made to get to that one? “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print! “Ctrl+P” print! (gibberish) Oh, don’t do that… Don’t you crash on me, you… bastard! Go- I’m so tired!

You have no… “

“I’m not sure what you’re trying…”

“You do! You do! Right, I’ll get that going – (using fingers and his knee as well) “Esc+Ctrl+P+Alt… Esc+Ctrl+P+Alt… f*cking… Right, I’m phoning Amsterdam, you bastard! (mimics dialing) Hello, Amsterdam- you speak very good English, well done!

Bordered by four countries, I know… Yeah, a lot of problems in land work… Yes, I’ve got a Macintosh computer plugged in to a Cannon bubble jet printer, and… Yes’ I’ve been into the Chooser- into the Printers File, and chosen “Cannon Bubble jet Printer…” Yes, I’ve been to the Chooser file and chosen Printer Port, which is the same as the fax-modem port, which confuses the f*ck out of me… I’ve chosen A4 paper instead of toilet paper, yeah, I know that… I’ve chosen the picture of the dog standing straight up instead of the dog lying on the side, it’s got a problem, the taxidermist had to go early- what the f*ck? It’s five in the morning! It will not print out! There’s something definitely wrong with the… There’s an “ON” switch on the printer, is there?” (mimes hanging up and printing normally)

I can actually see her wearing that!

I just adore Eddie Izzard. He is so funny. I feel that way with my Excel program right now. For some reason, whenever I hit print preview, all my margins, footers, headers , etc go wacky.
For no reason that I can find.

I can't look at something before I print it. I just have to hope for the best.

Yes, having a new computer will definitely speed things up. I was amazed at how getting a new one a few years ago changed things. Then, we got an ISDN line, and our connection is lightning quick. And now...we're back to needing a new computer.

New computers are relatively cheap right now. They just dropped the prices on processors and ram by a ton. I don't know how that has effected the retail machines, but if you're willing to build your own now is as good a time as any.

So, someone explain the sniffing issues to me. Doesn't seem like a major problem in my mind. Sure it's weird and a little creepy, but just slightly. I mean it's not physically touching you. It's just smelling the perfume you're wearing or whatever. Isn't that what it's for?

I should mention that I don't go around sniffing anyone. So, I'm not just a walking sexual harassment time bomb that I know of.

It is an issue of entitlement. I can have access to any perfume from Mav that floats my way. I don't have a right to wedge my nose in to the nape of her neck and snort.

I was a little extreme in that description, but it is an issue of boundary. Acceptable to shake a woman's hand, not OK to pull her toward you in doing so.

If I were to sniff Mav and she were to say "Knock it the f**k off", then the issue would be over. I can get that signal. The sniffer, however, persists. His intent is clear. His manners not so prevalent. His life expectancy now severely shortened.

If you're computer is old and clunky you can always buy extra memory. It's not at all difficult to add it. It's pretty much just taking of the case and slotting the memory into the slots. Even if your computer's too old to use the type of RAM on sale now, you should still be able to buy older memory online.

Also, is anyone else amused at the notion of Zeek the walking sexual harassment bomb? That should be a comic strip or something.

I've been drinking so much Dew over the last 15 years that my body has become acclimated and quickly metabolizes caffeine; it no longer has any affect on me. Yes, I've done experiments. *snikkers*

Addicted? No.
Whenever I go home to my parents' house, I have zero Dew and virtually no caffeine at all. That can last anywhere from a few days to weeks. Zero affect physically or mentally. I honestly just drink it for the taste (at around 30degF)... *HK may be a little odd...*

As far as caffeine being more dangerous than some other "controlled substances," I call "bullshit," but we don't have to go any further than that, unless anyone's really interested in continuing....

hey HK, FMF, how're y'all?

You can buy a lethal dose of caffeine in the grocery store in the form of a few bottles of No-Doz. 60-65 (guesstimating your mass) of those at once will do it, and it'll hurt (I have OD'd on caffeine before, it's no fun).
Contrariwise, I can smoke a quarter pound of grass and get nothing but dry eyes and very sleepy. That was the only point I wanted to make.

Okay Mavs. So kharma is a bitch and I'm the fool that can't seem to get my head around certain folks of the female persuasion.
Self abuse aside...
So "She who shan't be considered" started seeing some guy a few weeks ago. I had sent her a message (a very long message) stating how I was actually glad she told me she was seeing someone for a change. I was also very confronting on the fact she isn't the friend she believes to be and that all the cutesy romantical type messages would pretty much stop seein' as it ain't appropriate with her current situation. (We would exchange texts every few days and mine always had some place or thing I saw and wished to share in a very touching way.)
So anyhoo my co worker/friend tells me Monday that "She..." gave in to this guy and had sex with him. I guess he called her up and said to close the bar early so they could go out. She waits, and waits... and waits. (sound familiar) Then she calls him at three in the morning to find out he's in Reno partying with friends and "forgot". Whoops. Seems he's never really talked much to her since she gave in and mostly played the game using a very familiar tactic. He was cordial, friendly, talkative, funny, a nice fella.
But ya see, I ain't that way 'cause I'm just tryin' to get some ass. I know I could and that is what makes the bitterness go away. I choose to use my powers for good rather than for personal gain.
FMF said I am a nice and caring man after I had mentioned that I feel bad for her. But though I feel bad, I don't feel sorry for her.
More to come.

I've snorted a Dew like that before, that hurt almost as much as other things I have put up there.

Key word there is "certain."

You chase your tail, around and around, and wonder why you are dizzy.

Stop it.

Step 1. Go into Reno.
Step 2. Find a nice pool hall to start hanging out in.
Step 3. Have a beer.
Step 4. Look around.
Step 5. Find some new friends at new nice pool hall.
Step 6. Play pool with new friends.
Step 7. Have new friends introduce you to new woman folk.

Actually Mavs I'd rather go much farther than the next big town. Still too many folks from here over there all the gorram time. I just read "The Need" and realized how much the perception of Jayne fits alot of my own faults. Not that I need a young lover, but someone who is young at heart, perceptive, and caring. Seems I've already had my fill of crazy though.
