There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

We've been talking about the Firefly cast in various threads, and whether or not Alan and Ron will be in Serenity. But whenever you get to know and like certain actors you also begin to think they would be right for other roles as well.

As I've mentioned before, I'm a huge Robert Heinlein fan, my username being the main character in his novel "Glory Road." Lately I have been thinking that Nathan Fillion would be perfect to fill that role...if he gets good sword-fighting lessons that is.

Jewel Staite would be great as Podkayne of Mars too!

What other projects would you like to see our favorite actors in?

I haven't been thinking about the actors in other roles, but their characters. I am enjoying the firefly cast in Rocky Horror. Right now I am picturing Mal as Frank N Furter.

How about Sean Maher as Joshua York, the sympathetic vampire in George R. R. Martin's Fevre Dream?

I had this all planned out and all of a sudden forgot actor's names. . .so bear with me. . .

In Law and Order, the original. . .if Lenny Briscoe got a NEW partner, I'd like to see it played by Adam Baldwin.

I'd like to see Sean Maher as the medical examiner in CSI OR Law and Order. I also bet he'd be great in a M*A*S*H sort of setting.

I'd love to see Nathan Fillion in a leading role for a show that would be reminiscent of the show "Tour of Duty". I also think Nathan would play a good cop. I bet he'd ALSO make a good 'new partner' for Lenny Briscoe. . .or hell. . .let Lenny retire and make Adam and Nathan the new detective team.

I'd like to see Jewel Staite do a walk-on role for anything starring Amanda Bynes. . .punch her in the jaw, knocking her down, and say, "I'm twice your age and I'm STILL cuter and more perky. . .bitch."

Alright, I am going to sew the selfish thread.

I want to see the characters in nothing but Firefly for its entire 11-year run. (Maybe longer)

That way, the actors are all well compensated with original and syndication rights, but so type cast that they can only perform on stage as anything other than the Firefly Few.

Ok, But what's the speed of dark?

The Speed of Dark is faster than the speed of light, as it is always there first.

Good book too. Especially if you know anything about autism.

Well, There you go....

Guess I'll need to change my signature line again. I did not know a serious subject was tied to this. My apologies.

Hey if you can't laugh about stuff, what is the point? I don't see any offense given, or even idea infringement.

a variation on your theme, taken from "Tremors" the finest monster movie ever filmed.

KBlitz,

I'd forgotten that. Tremors is truly a classic, which is easy to forget with the Series and poor sequels in place.

My apology was just to make sure I hadn't stepped on anyone's toes.

Now, back to our topic du jour:

I still say I don't want to see these actors in anything but Firefly reruns, fron their hugely successful multi-season run.

I certainly was not implying that I am not anxious to see the cast in more Firefly/Serenity films and hopefully a revived series. But, if you are a true Firefly fan, then you must assume the film and the new series will be very popular, and when that happens those actors are going to be getting a lot of other offers. I was just thinking about what other parts they would be good in, using a few of my favorite books as examples.

I'd like to see the entire female cast in one of those 'Nude Calendar for Charity' things. I'm big on charity, you see.
