I'm okay, thanks guys. Like I said in the last thread, haven't been that well so I've had to cut back on my work hours and spend time away from PCs in general. Good to be back though.

*hands Gee a cuppa tea* Hope someone was taking care of you while I was gone! How's the tummy, by the way?

I included that one because I received an extra. It can be passed on just like the Dresden books. It doesn't need to follow the same path.

*sips tea*

At the risk of breaking into a moan, not good, the tests came back negative so stilll don't know what is going on and I'm stuck in the limbo between Doctor and NHS whilst letters goes off to a specialist. My other half is suggesting a detox, which I might even do but would really like someone to at least work out what is going on. The fun thing is one of the team I work in is heading off to Thailand for a month and the other is taking a week off as well during that peroid so a stupidly busy period coming up at work that I could do without.

However, the sun is shining, there are browncoats to talk with and an enchanted beer garden to enjoy so I am refusing to be downhearted.

Don't know about the beer part, nor am I tall and graceful enough to be an elf, but you could pull it off with your height.
Maybe I'll be a pixie.
Yeeessssss, pixie. Fire pixie.
*puts on red wings and flits around the garden, cuz it's enchanted and she can*

BBQ also sounds good. I'm waking up with a few jolt mints, but doubtless I'll need food before too long. Stayed up too late reading Dresden
If you PM me your addy, Jimi, I'll send you Finding Serenity

(sorry for posting in the old thread. I'm really not all awake yet.)

*giggle* That's amusing, Gee! Have you considered clearing a few books out to make room for new ones? You could join the Browncoat Flying Library and send them around to people who wanna read them, and get books that you wanna read, and that could take care of a little bit of the space problem

I might have a sort but I find it difficult as a huge bibliophile and seem to buy quite a lot of books that I re-read but I'm sure there is some pruning that could be done. Doesn't help that my other half has filled the house with course books and children's literature. The worrying this is that I have about three boxes of books at my folks place that I haven't even moved over and will need to buy stuff for the course I'm starting in September although luckily that should be the odd textbook every six months or so!

Well, Gee, the advantage of sending your extra books to your fellow Browncoats is that you have the option of getting them back, whereas getting rid of them entirely doesn't give you that.

I missed Kel in chatzy again. I are sad

I'm not in a position to impose any rules on Mav's book distribution, but for the books that I've sent about, I'm asking that the reader's screen name be listed in the book. Someday, perhaps, I'll get to see who has enjoyed the books.

I'm more than halfway through Fool Moon. I'm not usually the kind of person who can read the first couple chapters and know exactly how a book was going to end, but this time I did. I knew who the real bad guys were (though I did manage to get sidetracked from that conviction) almost right off, and that disappoints me. The descriptions of magic aren't as in-depth and cool in this one, either. I sure hope book three is better.

Oh, you have to chose "complete" when it asks you what to download. Otherwise you don't get any choices when putting your character together.

Choose a pose, then click "complete" (it's free) then choose what you want to edit from the drop down menu. It's fun!

The writing in the 2nd book was a bit better than the first. Plot didn't flow. But the two books are still pretty good compared to some of the dreck (pardon my Yiddish) that I read. And yup - 3-5 are better. (Working on 6)
