Imponderable Watercooler: Easy on my Soul by hobbleit

Job interview went really well. It is actually as an assistant to one of the top sales people in the company. And not as a secretary, but as a real sales assistant. He's a mechanical engineer. A very nice guy; I met with him for an hour. His previous assistant is on maternity leave, and informed him she would be coming back part time. He needs full full time, so she agreed to be replaced. After meeting with him, he asked me to wait while he got the assistant to the VP. She meets with all potential new hires. We got along great as well. It's a job I can do, with my skill set. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

AND, just as I was getting in the shower a company I applied to several weeks ago called to set up an interview for next week.

Things have been mighty slow around here. Good for catching up with...but said to make a slow day go faster.

Mavs: super good luck on the job interviewing. Sounds like you're finally getting the pay-off for hitting the pavement. Hope the one you want pans out.

NVG: sounds like some good stuff is happening in your life. See...good things come to those that wait. That old song is right...you can't hurry love.

'Happy vacation' to those going on one and 'glad to see ya' for those sticking around.

I've been in a bit of a funk for the last few days. Life is just too damn busy. Argh. I did stay up way too late last night and watched Lucky Number Slevin. Very good flick. Loved it, in fact. Also saw Ghostrider the other night, but fell asleep on the couch (side effect of the busy-ness of life, not the entertainment value of the movie). I woke right when the villian was all super-demonic...and then kept having dreams of Ghostrider (and sadly not our Nevada version) all night. Restless sleep sucks.

I'm house-sitting and running a horse show this weekend so it looks to be hectic as well. The house-sitting place has a spa, so y'all are invited over for a par-tay tonight.

Dang. Thought a new thread would have ben started by now. Oh well. Seems the last few days have been good for most.

So we missed the fireworks show on Wednesday night. A little strange, but not without consequence. Seems someone still needed to see fireworks and I happened to be the right guy for the job. I fear that we both may be falling so very in love with each other. Not that falling is a bad thing. Just that it all happened so fast. I'd be a bit more leery if it were a stranger. But seein' as it's my best friend, not so much.

Never hurts to be a little leery. I've always heard to never make any big decisions during the first 6 months of a new relationship (big relationshipy decisions that is). Just enjoy the twitterpatedness while it lasts.

I feel so gorram manlt after the other night. Unfortuneately Mindy hangs out as one of the guys so she can imagine the kinds if things guys say about their performance. Luckily for me I really don't have the need to express things in a negative way like so many others. But I can say that we did have to take a break last night for emotional bonding and physical recouperating.

I think Thursday morning was the first morning I enjoyed seeing the sun come up after no sleep in a very long time.

Yeah, been having some trouble of the work kind. The owner of the IT training centre where I work ran into cash flow problems and decided to cut expenses. By not paying me. And then lying about when she would get me the money so like a sucker I'd keep working for ages. I finish working there this Thursday and I'm still waiting for my money. Not happy.

On the plus side I got a months teaching contract at a college which sees me through the next month, and if I can't find something after that I'll just temp until I do. I just hate being broke and relying on someone else to pay me!
