NOOCYTE

Hey all. Not long ago, I sent a .jpg of the "Firefly" logo (the flaring title from the opening credits) to a custom bumper sticker site, http://www.makestickers.com/home.asp (quick and cheap. recommended), Affixed it to a magnetic backing, and attached to my car (committment issues, y'unnerstand).

Trouble is, the capture is of the title in mid-flare, which makes it hard to see from more than a few meters away, I found. Wanting to spread the love as far and wide as can be (and avoid some hun-dahn whacking the back of poor Leela, trying to read the text), I'm wondering if anyone has pointers to a less flare-ey image of the FF logo (mayhap a still from the scratch-built animated logo from serenitymovie.com), which I can download, and use to replace the one I've got. And, furthermore, to make it available to them as would like to do as I did.

Could make for a nice conversation piece on the way to North Carolina.....

That's pretty shiny noocyte. You could probably create your own. There was a discussion earlier on the font that was used for the titles:

The free variant is okay, but WERZBOWSKI sounded like he had access to the real one.

Thanks for the link to the bumper sticker site. I'm having fun playing around with various ones.

I shaved off my beard for you, devil woman!

A little too shiny, evidently. That's the problem.

No worries, Soup; glad you're enjoying it. I was really impressed with how quickly my finished product arrived (within a week)!

Actually, it occurs to me that simply scanning the spine of the DVD box set should do nicely. Don't have a scanner m'self (I know, stone knives and bear skins!), but a trip to Kinko's should do the trick (and, with any luck, I can strike up a conversation with someone who's curious about what I'm scanning and why...).

Incidentally, the PA DMV just cashed the check I sent with an application to change my license plate to "SRENITY" (they only allow 7 characters, unfortunately). 2nd choice was "SHINY." The plate itself should arrive within the next few weeks. Really hoping the first choice comes through, since it would also make sense considering what I do for a living (headshrinker, that is)...not to mention the serendipitous "Seinfeld" cross-reference.

Keep flyin'!
