Morning peeps!

I am going to have an even more boring day today, sitting behind a desk at a Uni careers day trying to recruit people. And I forgot to bring my book!

Anyway, won't be around till later so I hope everyone has a lovely day.

On a brighter note it looks like I will have to go out to Denver in the spring to be in my friend's wedding so maybe we could hook up while I am there.

I sent Mags a message this morning to let her know. Am hoping that she is not too busy with all of her visits and can pop up here for a couple of days or something.

Yeah - I'll still be there... and I am going to try my best - honestly!! I don't know if I will need to rob a bank or something - but you guys have bank hold up's all the time don't you - nobody will notice me asking for a couple of thousand dollars (don't want to be greedy now) and then sneaking up to Michigan... will they?

And Hell's Kitten is going to be there, as is Canter from South Africa (she votes in the voting thread) Sister (ditto) Jimi-bear (RIMG) ummmm... yeah definitely Engie!! I need both my Mei Mei's there - and MsG too - my li'l sis! If my twin brother and sister-in-law can't make it I will just have to do my best!!

Oh and I almost finished my Kaylee costume!!!!

EDIT: Sorry Suz - I move around a bit - I'm a house sitter as well as a nanny - but I stick to the Doncaster/Bulleen/Balwyn/Canterbury/Camberwell/Heidelberg/Kew sort of area. My parents live in Bulleen, and my church is in Doncaster (I am a music team leader there) I work as a nanny in Canterbury... house-sitting is mostly word of mouth so I usually get something in the same kind of area! My friend has only just started learning lampwork, her name's Anita and she lives near Wattle Park. Whereabouts do you live?

As I don't believe Jimi will be able to get online today, I have the pleasure of announcing the arrival of Emma Grace, who was born at 8:24 pm EST on 8/16/07. She is 6 lbs, 8 oz, and 19 inches long. She and mother are both healthy and doing well after the surgery.

Congratulations, RIMG!

I'm off home now lovely people. Officially I am on holiday next week but I plan to come into work unpaid on Monday so that I can download all my outstanding work onto a new data stick (lost my old one) and work from home all week. Why? Is it because I'm a masochist? Possibly. I am also terrified about being so unprepared for the start of term. Have NO clue what I'm teaching about and the resources are embarrasingly bad. If I'm not to look like an utter fool I have to sacrifice a bit of me time. Oh well. At least I'll have all you lot to distract me!

You know what the first rule of flyin' is? Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. And love keeps her in the air when she oughtta fall down… tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keels… makes her a home.

Dropping into the bar to grab a Diet Coke and to ask my fellow Browncoats a favor.

Could everyone who belongs to Digg or who might like to sign up for Digg go digg this article for me in this thread?

http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=30115

We're trying to move it up to popular in an ongoing campaign to move Browncoaty stuff up the popularity rungs in areas that are outside the fandom.

I'd like to show 'em what Browncoats can do.

Thanks for the warm feelings and congratulations guys. Baby and mother both came home yesterday from the hospital, and are doing well, though Ami is still in a bit of pain from the surgery. The baby's name is Emmalee Roze, finalized by Ami yesterday after I made a frantic search of 3 or 4 stores to find her a baby names book.
