I'm thrilled to hear it!
I love both 'Chuck' and 'Life', and I'm really hoping to hear that 'Pushing Daisies' is doing well too!

As you probably heard, Joss is going to be working on getting 'Dollhouse' on the air when the strike ends... it will have some episodes of sci-fi and horror and action and plenty of comedy....
So I'm hoping that 'Dollhouse' will be a huge hit and will help Joss get 'Firefly' back on the air (eventually)

After the first episode of 'Chuck' I wasn't sure if I'd watch another, but of coarse I did and now I'm hooked. Good to hear they'll be more. Definitely concur on the 'Pushing Daisies' comment also.

That's AWESOME news about Chuck (haven't actually watched Life). I admit I first started watching Chuck because of Adam Baldwin, but the show has become a bit addictive for me. Its funny, and exciting, and I love how the make-believe parts aren't overly cheesey, just humorous. Frankly, I think the show only has one weak spot, but I'm not going to share, because I know it will make me a pariah in the eyes of Chuck fans. I can live w/the one weak link because of all of the awesomeness!

I'd rather be a smartass than a dumbass...

This is excellent news! I like Chuck a lot not just because of Adam... but I LOVE Life. I think it's my new most favorite, having slipped up ahead of Moonlight ( ducks, cuz I bet I'm in a minority liking that show ).

I really like Chuck but I do think Life has the potential to be a classic show. The standalone episodes are okay but every time they return to the main arc of why Crews was imprisoned and who was behind it...

They've already pulled the rug out from under our expectations ("Ask your partner...") and it feels as though there's a well designed mystery being carefully put into place.

Of course, if the strike continues, this renewal doesn't really mean that much.

Come on, you can say it! I think you're giving the show too much credit to say it only has one weak link, but I still watch it. I'm only lukewarm to it though.

I called it. I said Adam finally had a hit show that was mainstream, and he's getting all kinds of buzz because of it. And really, no one brings on the snark better than him. In Chuck vs the Hard Salami he had all the best lines.

"She got dumped."

"Because she got dumped."

"You fall for your partners, and just to be clear, not interested sister."

"By the way miss, your pastrami's delicious."

"No you idiot, it's to help you get laid."

Oh Adam, I LOVE you. You ARE Major John Casey.

Btw, in Chuck vs the Alma Mater, in the shoot out scene with him and Yvonne (Sarah) when they were near out of rounds and Casey says he had one clip left, did anyone else finish the line "And my swinging cod." Anyone? Just me?

Oh, there is one thing that makes this from being a perfect show. He's short, he's hairy, and he's Chuck's stalkerish friend. And as much as I TRY to like him...... I just wish he'd go away or give him less air time and more to Adam. Seriously PTB, listen to the fans. I'm not alone.

Chuck to Sarah: "God your so pretty."

Chuck to Casey: "And Casey your jaw was sculpted by Michealangelo himself."

Casey to Chuck: "Thank you."

Chuck: "Oh yeah."

Totally agree. I thought the pilot for 'Chuck' was just awful. Had no urge to watch the show after it.

Happened to give it another chance a few weeks later, and really loved it. I DVR it every week now.

It was announced last month that Pushing Daisies was being picked up for a full season of I think 22 episodes. I hope the writer's strike doesn't effect this too badly.

I don't think it's the only thing, but, I agree, any of Morgan is too much Morgan!

On another note, I think Chuck said: "Your jaw looks like it was sculpted by Michealangelo himself."

No, I have that one on tape and I watched that scene over and over (just to watch the brilliance of the writing, and the acting especially Sarah's pleased reaction after Chuck said that) and my sig is right.

Does anyone here think "Sarah" looks like a young Jerry Ryan or is it just me?

Oh, please don't compare her to Jeri Ryan.

A lot of people have compared her to Christine Taylor, the girl from Dodgeball and Ben Stiller's wife.

People on TWOP have compared the actor who plays Bryce to Sean Maher, myself I think he looks like a less intimidating Ray Liotta.

on the Halloween episode, was it just me or did anyone else kinda hope that, when the folks at the buy more were dressed up in costumes, that Casey might come in with I dunno, some interesting possibly Chinese scripted t-shirt and "cunning" orange hat???

or was it just me.
maybe if the get a second Halloween episode...
