My job has so many acronyms it's insane...example sentence I used today

Ok I need a FUBA and BIP for the IEP before the TIPS can give me a PD on the file.

Be nice to the building manager. I was one once, you know. It's not the manager, it's the stupid HVAC designer. They never work right, the temp zones are always screwy and someone ALWAYS complains. Just yesterday I made a comment in the afternoon about being freezing and the women right next to me said she was finally comfortable instead of burning hot. Heh.

Somewhere I have a comment by a facility manager....found it:

Quote:

I confess!!! Working as a Facilities Mgr. for the government for the past 15 years has taken away alot of compassion I used to have...For 15 years I've heard so many complaints of I'm hot, I'm cold, the toilet won't stop flushing, could you change the bathroom cleaning schedule, I really need to sit on the toilet for a good long time before my long ride home, turdzilla's, people shitting in the stairwells the list goes on and on....I'm a bit burnt out as you can tell....soooo, I got a call that this PIA woman who is ALWAYS hot. Well, I was having a bad day and her complaint was the last straw...
I actually turned her heat UP!!!!!!!!! Then I laughed OUT LOUD and waited for her to come back with another complaint of being hot....so damn mean...the big stupy comes back and ruins the whole thing saying whatever we did fixed the problem and the temp. is now perfect!! LOL

I could soooo relate to that problem...although I never did anything like that. I probably would've if I had continued in the job for another 10 years.

Nope didn't know that actually. Though I did work for one once as a job from a temp agency. It was sorta interesting to see all the junk they do. She was on the brink of tearing her hair out a lot of the time too. Sounds like a good job to stay the heck away from.

The one guy that I was like "ooohhh I like that". Was this one who sold properties for the company. He seemed to do actual work about 20% of the day and the rest of the time he was trading stocks on the side. Everybody said he was totally rich. Sounds like the life to me.

But where's the challenge, the rush, the adrenaline? That's probably why I play poker. Cause somewhere in the back of my head there's always that thought that someday maybe I'll be one of those guys on tv playing for millions. I figure I'd die at the table from my heart exploding of course, but every hand would just be so intense. It sounds like a ton of fun.

Here's a ponder to keep the thread alive:

If a philosopher dies in a wood alone, who solves the murder?

Let's have a black celebration
To celebrate the fact
that we've seen the back
of another black day.

I'm not worthy!

No one.

I think it's a tree plot with DTH acting as their agent to rid the world of people so the trees can take over...

I was told by my boss that I look rested. Don't know though. Put ten miles on my shoes and some of it was carrying a thousand rounds of .45 ACP, the rest was guiding friends on a rabbit hunt. TIP: If the guy guiding the hunt gets the only kill then something might need to be revised with the method the others are using.

DANCINGNEKO

Hi all.

Weekend was pretty good. (If you ignore the fact I locked myself out of the apartment, have a pile of work that never ends, and figure that I'm at "third quarter" stress levels.) Got to see Lion King this weekend (the opening was awesome and then it got better), and bought myself a bit of shiny ( http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-94545394549794_1973_1397
089
-- link to the picture, but not the price .) Felt like I needed a reminder of things (and a "reward" for the past week and a half).

Other than that, I'm stuck on a couple of personal imponderables -- one which focuses on the direction of my life in the not-too-distant future....

*waves at everyone and hopes that their weekend was still better than mine*
