So about a year ago during finals I was wasting time and procrastinating when I first saw Serenity on tv. After a bit of research I find out about Firefly and immediately buy the series on dvd. I don't know what it is that makes me such a fan, I'm not even that big into sci-fi, but dang it I love me some Firefly! I just found the site and am excited to see there are some Browncoats still around and about!

Yeah it is!!!

It still amazes me how many people state that they don't usually like scifi or even hate it, but they love Firefly/Serenity. Men folk and women folk.
Says a lot for the show I think that it appeals outside of the genre.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I think the thing that appeals the most about Firefly is that it is so real. In spite of the fact it is set in the future and on a spaceship, it is the most realistic depiction of average, identifiable people as they attempt to cope with living in a frightening world. Everyone can relate to that.
