Is Razor an okay thing to show to someone who isn't familiar with the reimagined Galactica? Or will they be totally lost?

Eh..they'd prolly be totally lost.

While the main character is not a regular cast member, there's enough interaction WITH the regular cast and such that they'd really not know what's happening.

I'd show 'em. Just preface it with a quick explan and start it- it's great eye candy!

Does the DVD version have the "Previously on Battlestar Galactica" lead-in that the TV broadcast had?

We applied the cortical electrodes but were unable to get a neural reaction from either patient.

Nope. No "previously on..."

I think it could stand alone, there is some backstory in it. But it would be better having at least seen season one.

Loved the mini episodes. Can't see too much of the old school Raider
