How much are you willing to contribute annually to produce the 'Firefly' series or have another movie made?

This is the current poll... And at the time of this post 34% of 40,000 people would be willing to contribute $100 dollars annually to see Firefly come back.

That's 13,600 people which equals: $1,360,000

Anyone have a rough guess on how much production costs are for a 12 episode series? I'm only trying to keep the fire warm. And I thought those 13,600 people might be interested.

I recall hearing somewhere that in 2002 the cost was about $1m per episode. One of the Joss commentaries IIRC.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

If it meant getting full one hour episodes of Firefly with all or most of the cast back, I would be willing to give up $250/year to see it happen.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'll put up my future lottery winnings for a full season.

Barring that, I figure I could swing $500 per year, since that is less than $10 per week.

Only problem with the poll is I'm quite certain far less than 40,000 people have voted. Unless you consider multiple voters would consider paying 600+ plus a year. I myself have voted more than twice. This is why many online polls only allow you to vote once. It's not accurate if voting multiple times is allowed. Still I personally would pay at least 100 a year for a new series. If needed I may go higher.

HARDCOPY

I'd pay $20 a month to buy a straight to dvd version... maybe a movie length episode once a month. And it should be less than $1m to make an episode now that they killed off Wash and Book. :(
