Don't squat with your spurs on.

According to this, Sci Fi will have a new series next year. If they can maintain the quality of the miniseries this will be worth watching.

Apparently if you live in England you will get to see the series later this year on SKY. It's because SKY is partly funding the series.

I'm one of the very odd people that likes both verisions of Battlestar. Loved the original series when I was a kid, even have a jacket around here somewhere with a Colonial Warrior patch on it.

And the new one was interesting as well, didn't have many issues with it even though it got a sound pummelling from some when it came out.

If they can keep the quality of the miniseries throughout a series run then it'd be pretty cool. I hope they weave in a little more of the Egyptian thing though, when I was a youngster it was just cool, when I got older the whole Ancient Astronaut thing that Galactica was flirty with was pretty intriguing.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Hope we are not labeled "odd" as I liked both too. I will be looking foward to BG coming on Sci Fi weekly.

I'm with Gunhand in the liking both department (though, I was only really introduced to it a few years back on Space --I'm just a kid; I wouldn't have been 1 when it ended ).

Original Galactica had a more engrossing plot and a somewhat more laid-back, fun-and-adventure air, though the new series has better effects and a hottie. (I know many girls will argue that Original Starbuck was also a hottie, but whaddya want? I'm a guy. Who has a thing for smart-ass tomboys.)

Hopefully the series won't be as angsty as the mini (though I see why it had to be).

A series. Yeah, right. And I suppose Richard Hatch will guest star in a recurring role as a Mandela type character.

Talk about old news...

Actually I read somewhere that Richard Hatch is close to being signed to play a recurring guest role.

Which frankly amazed the out of me since the Sci-Fi miniseries pretty much killed any chances of his revival of Galactica.

Then again he may just be a bigger man than a lot of people gave him credit for. Myself included.
